 | 11/5/14 | 4 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 2 | Last year I posted a "wait and see" type of review for Paul LeClair. Now I'm sorry to say that our family has discovered we couldn't rely on Mr. LeClair and are now in the process of moving our file to another firm. Although Mr. LeClair seems very knowledgeable and is very likeable, over the past year he hasn't made any steps to move our matter forward and has been ignoring our attempts to communicate with him. At this time, I would not recommend him to anybody. | |
    | | 11/1/13 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | Our family is still working with Mr. LeClair so my rating is with respect to progress he has made to date. I wish to address the previous post regarding his suspension in 2009. Before passing judgment about the suspension, readers should also download and read the complete hearing report posted on the Law Society website. Once the report has been read in full, people will better understand what circumstances lead to that suspension. Things are not always as black as they might seem. | |
    | | 6/18/13 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 2 | Mr. LeClair was opposing counsel in an estate matter. In my opinion, he did not work in the best interests of his client--although it is possible he followed his client’s instructions. Mr. LeClair was suspended by The Law Society of Alberta in 2009, because “he failed to serve and/or respond to his clients and others, failed to respond to a fellow solicitor, failed to honour undertakings given to a fellow solicitor, failed to meet his commitments to the lawyer of his former clients and to respond to that lawyer, and failed to respond to the Law Society on a timely basis in eleven separate complaints.” Beware. http://www.lawsociety.ab.ca/lawyer_re... | | | |
