I DISAGREE WITH THIS RATING. She is an amazing lawyer. Being a Lawyer in Provincial Family Court is not easy. She is not a therapist in the Fraser Valley. She is a Barrister in the Provincial Court of Family Law.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Poor communication skills, more concerned with money than the overall product. She actually ended up keeping a retainer of mine for months even though she did not render services. Highly illegal and she did not return it with interest. I was advised by an excellent lawyer, at McLean family law, to steer clear of her and her practice. Once my retainer was rightfully returned, I left the matter alone as it increasingly became clear to me that this lawyer is unethical, and her behavior was highly questionable.

Kathleen won sole custody from complicated circumstances, this is almost never done anymore. Kathleen is committed, hardworking and very supportive during a difficult time. She handled every dirty trick the opposition threw her way in an effective and professional manner. This woman is a saint in my opinion and saved our family.

I hired Kathleen Walker to complete my desk order divorce and I have nothing but regret for that decision.
She would not give me a quote of what to expect but once she had my 5k retainer, would bill me nonsensically for her time. Several bills would have the exact same wording of paperwork done, with costs zero'd out and totals seemingly made up. After nearly $3500, I asked how on earth this is costing so much as it was not contested and no children or assets, she told me we were only half way there.Her'office' is out of her house that smells like dogs. Her equipment is severely outdated.You will be billed for the time it takes her to do anything, which is at a snails pace.
After hiring a new competent lawyer, I discovered this should have cost 1/3 that it had already and that I'm lucky I fired her before it doubled.
In addition to the terrible service and high cost, some of the paperwork she prepared had clerical errors which resulted in my case being denied.

Very expensive divorce. It was not complicated but it was costly. She does all the work herself so you will be charged $300/hour for sending emails, phone calls and filing. An office assistant would be cheaper. It cost too much for the results.
