I have had the great fortune to work with Ms. Leech during a very difficult time in life-in anyone's life- divorce. She clearly detailed to me my options proceeding with my divorce and custody access plans. She was clear about the collaborative process and that should this process be engaged, and any party changed their minds and wanted to involve the courts, there would be no release of the information- we would need to start from scratch. Knowing finances were a concern she always offered alternatives to things that I might do myself to save money and would not have known about otherwise. Anything legal seems to take forever, and while this took longer than I liked, any length of time would be too long- it took a shorter time than going through courts, blah, blah. The cost was substantially less than it would have been and I had access to specialists in their fields. seriously avoid this woman!!! she should be unemployed. She spends months "getting" to know your family, then writes a quick opinion that could be written by a grade 9 english student. At the end of $7000, she doesn't even give an opinion!! She's garbage and shouldn't even be practicing. I wish I could score her less than a 1.

WARNING - DO NOT USE HER FOR A VOICE OF CHILD REPORT. She took over 3 months to write the report. Spelling and names wrong. Didn't even post anything what our child wanted. The entire report is focused on what the mother said and is riddled with fabricated events - events we have on camera as proof. Painted the mother as a godsend, ignored all the neglect. Ignored the 14 year old wants to live with her father. Lies after lies after lies. She took what the mother said as gold and told the child she was traumatized by a situation the child clearly wasn't and based her whole report on it. Didn't fact check anything. Never spoke to step mom but painted her a monster when in reality, the daughter is closest with the step mother. Over $3000 in the garbage to her, plus lawyer bills to this lady. WARNING. do not use. Everything seems highly suspicious and I wish I had read these reviews first. She should be disbarred..

I refer clients to Ms. Leech for family assessments or as counsel for family matters. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and takes the time to understand needs, wants and merits of the individual's legal issue. She is sensitive to the emotional concerns and very knowledgeable of resources to provide assistance. Her assessment work is thorough and balanced with clear recommendations to assist families to a better path. The nature of this important work where there are two adults with competing interests can leave at least one party unhappy with the outcome, so the negative comments on this site are not surprising. ho Ms.Leech's work focuses on strengths, the best interests of children and provides valuable information on what can be done by the adults to remediate the situation if they do the necessary work. My clients are not always happy to hear it, but Ms. Leech's work has helped them to move forward and protected children from unnecessary damage from family conflict.

Hiring her was the biggest, and most expensive, mistake of my life. Horrible experience! It's really too bad for the Justice system that predators like her are sometimes the only lawyers a vulnerable person can find. Not matter how desperate you are for legal advice, keep looking.

This lawyer mediated my appeal with autopac which had dragged on for a long time with no end in sight. She was very well prepared and had read my huge file. She kept the hearing fair and I got to speak without feeling squashed by autopac. My case got resolved and I got a settlment check within 2 weeks. I still dont like Autopac but Ms Leech did a great job and it is part of my life that is finally over. Thanks!

SERIOUS WARNING to all who are rating this assessor/attorney.... Please be very careful of writing any comments about this woman. I am sharing my personal experience with all of you. She phoned me on Feb 3rd, 2015 and yelled at me. She refused to provide any of the information that I needed for my case until I delete the comment posted on May 28th, 2014 on this website. She even threatened me that there will be criminal charges against me because it is crime to post any negative comments. I believe this is a public website and we as a user post our experiences with specific attorney. These ratings/reviews are helpful for other people looking for specific attorney services. She is very rude in communication and does not leave any stone unreturned in making your and your kids life miserable. After her yelling, I posted a very nice comment about her - Can not comment on how true it is :( . I got so scared from her. She actually told me what to write to fix negative comment.

I hired this attorney to do assessment for the well being of my children back in 2012. It was done very early in the divorce process where no sufficient evidences were present. I also had a very short report as mentioned in the review posted on May 28th, 2014. I was also not very impressed at that time. But now when I go back and see her recommendations, I feel that she was very fair to children and tried to save both parties bills to lawyers and efforts and money to go to trial. She is not just social worker but knows law very well. She knew very well that if this case will be presented in the court, what could be the outcome. Sometimes as a client we can not understand and see the reasonability behind the decisions made by family assessors. I was not impressed with the way someone said in one of the posts:'She must be taking bribes' - It could be the comments posted by one of the immigrant :) IN CANADA - NO ATTORNY CAN TAKE BRIBES AND EVERY ONE HAS TO GO BY FACTS AND PROOFS.

I hired her to do family assessment as my stupid lawyer who never worked with her recommended her. She charged me almost 7000 dollars for this service. She took 6 months to do this task where she just met me, my ex and my daughter in person. She did not bother to contact doctor for my son's asthma related medical conditions where my ex failed to recognize every single time his breathing problems and I had to rush to emergency several times. She is a very biased woman who will always take male side. Instead of exploring my son's medical conditions she completely purposely ignored to talk to the doctor. I am feeling that she might be taking bribes from lawyers to provide report in their favor. You will be so surprised to see her report: 10 pages report written in 14 size font with big margins, double spaced, First 2 pages - Her introduction, Last 2 pages her recommendations and signature - Rest of the 6 pages - What I said, What my Ex said and what my daughter said. I trusted this woman and was very very disappointed with her total lack of professionalism, right down to her poorly printed and poorly spelled documents. Her advise was terrible and over priced. The truth of this has been borne out with the passage of time - she completely misread the situation and my family paid a very high price for her inability to see what was right in front of her face.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Leech on my uncontested divorce. I found her very professional, straight forward and knowledgeable. She was accommodating in spite of an obvious busy schedule. She is a very ethical lawyer and my divorce went through without any complications due to her involvement. My former spouse also felt she treated him respectfully. My divorce was ten years in the making and once Ms.Leech became involved it was finalizes in only 8 weeks.

I was very pleased with the services this lawyer provided. She is committed to collaborative practice and mediation which was a good fit for my needs. I did not want to go to war with my ex wife and this process was honest, open and fair. I understood my rights and obligations and this lawyer worked hard to help me find solutions that worked for me. I have a full agreement and am in the process of finishing an uncontested divorce and not once was there talk of court. She was respectful and professional. Knowledgable and effecient. I really appreciated the other professioanls she works with and I benefited from the input of the finacial specialist. A solution focussed lawyer. Great outcome.

She had her own agenda in my case that didn't align with my goals as her client and proceeded to ignore the instructions I gave her. She wasted time during our meetings and in dragging matters out with opposing counsel. Her lack of attention and action on my case resulted in a situation that could have been resolved expediently becoming unnecessarily complicated. When I asked for a copy of my file, it contained a mere two pages of illegible handwritten notes with no records of any correspondence nor other documentation that should have been on file. Her ethics and motivation are highly questionable.

Not quite as ethical as she pretends to be and a little too "precious" to help people with real world problems. No justice here - just sheer greed disguised as top notch work. She is always late, very expensive, doesn't do what is asked of her, and then charges and harasses you til you pay for services you did not contract for and cannot use. A total waste of time and money. Way too educated - not enough real life experience and absolutely no idea how to communicate with anyone who hasn't got at least one Master's degree. Not every life experience can be summed up neatly in a text book, Ms Leech, and some of us need real help with very serious issues. Don't waste our time if you aren't prepared to look at the whole picture. If you have a serious issue and need real life advice and help, avoid this lawyer like the plague!! She can probably draw up a fairly uncomplicated will but frankly, I wouldn't even trust her with that. Very poor value for a lot of money.
