Alexandria is very smart and I wish I could afford to retain her again to help my sister. I feel she truly cares about people and she does know her stuff. Even my ex told me he knows she was trying to help and he did not always agree with her but was impressed enough to think about things she said and we settled even though nothing in family law works too quick.

Communication is abysmal - expect a 2-3 week turnaround time if you are lucky. The only time Alex ever called me was when I was a prospective new client. Often her communication on the phone is rambling and confusing. Value - I paid $450/hour for Alex's time, and about half of that for her paralegal's time. You can expect to be billed for every single minute, for every email printed and read and dictated and answer typed, even the time of the front desk person (who was quite nice, btw). She fired me after I emailed in a panic that I was going to be homeless because she had not replied to the most recent opposing counsel communication. She missed a couple of biggies in our joint mediation too. Honestly cannot recommend her legal practice. I filed a complaint against her with the Law Society.

I retained Alex Harris and within 6 weeks had a bill of 6k and absolutely nothing had been done. She doesn't listen to you talks over you. Repeats answers and talks in circles around your question. Is never available and is great at out of office replies. So if you have a legal issue she'll get back to you weeks after you need the answer but is happy to charge you to read the email and for the call back after the fact when you don't need help. Does not communicate well with the other counsel. I had multiple emails forwarded from opposing counsel where I kept emailing Alex a response and she didn't once forward my response to opposing counsel which only served to complicate things. When I sent an email firing her I was responded to 20 days later with more questions about my case and personal life. And was advised I'd be billed for the time. Again 20 days prior I fired her. I had to file a formal complaint with the law society.

Cares about her clients and their issues and seems to always be a step( ahead. Impressed me with her attitude in that she really cared and wanted to help. Seems to know the law and the court system very well. I had had a previously poor experience with a couple of lawyers (related to personal and business) but found Alex to be informed, forthright and thorough in her approach. Helped me resolve a very high conflict case. We tried to keep away form Court but couldn't and Alex was ready to go when attempts to settle were rejected by my ex. It took a bit of time but that is just the Court system. Kept me updated and answered my questions and guided me through it. Two thumbs up! Don't usually submit reviews on anything but I came across her name online the other day (she represented me a year ago) and had to disagree with the ignorant statements which someone else rightfully called "sour". Great lawyer - great job. Knows her stuff.

Very nice lady. She believes in what she does and tells it like it is. No complaints here. She took my file to Court after reasonable efforts to settle were met by greed and unreasonable demands. I ended up with a fair and honest result.

Steer clear of this lawyer. She is talks so fast and wants to do be the aggressor in a conversation. Doesn't listen to your needs and has her own agenda. She was recommended at a discount from my company benefits program and that's what you get a discount lawyer. Worst money I have ever waisted just on a get to know session. If you decide to use her I say buyer beware.

Thankfully I didn't pay attention to the previous "sour grapes" rating. Sounds like someone can't take responsibility and blames everyone except themselves LOL. I had a challenging case and it was tough, but Alexandra got me through it. Hope I never have to go through that again but if I do, I will be going back to her for sure.

She is caring, knowledgeable and AMAZING! I was lucky to have her as my lawyer. She cares and it shows! She told me the truth, both about the strong points and the weak points of my case. It was a tough situation but she got me through it and was worth every penny!

Represented a father who had been alienated from his children by his mentally-ill (diagnosed and medicated) and abusive ex-wife. Claimed to understand this issue and proceeded to lose the case, create greater damage to the kids and even dropped one of the kids from the lawsuit as she didn't know how to proceed. Made over $50,000 while wrecking the lives of the kids, leaving them in the care of their mother, accepting hearsay as evidence in court, not challenging any of the mother's affidavits, not filing a contempt charge, and blaming the client for not giving her enough direction. Who is supposed to be the expert?!
