I should have trusted my instincts about Mr.Begley during the phone consultation. He comes across as crude and a braggart. I was suspect of his not wanting to meet in person, but this was a pretty simple insurance case and the decision was made to pay him a nominal retainer and let him handle the insurance company. Fast forward 5 months and the it is not settled. He is impossible to reach and when you do catch him, its always he's "so busy". It is obvious he screens his calls and only picks up when it suits him. His office "staff" or whoever occaisionally answers the phone is pleasant enough, but clearly but knowledgeable. His communication is sloppy and he forgets to keep the client in the loop. Now... I just want to end the relationship and get a copy of the file and final bill. Be very cautious about hiring Mr. Begley. I would not do it again.
