David Schaffer is just like any other lawyer. Mr. Schaffer told us we had a "good chance" of winning, but really we had no chance. Yes, that's our fault, but he made it seem like we should go through with it. An $18,000 mistake! He never fully seemed prepared. Other lawyers looked professional and prepared (down to their presentation binder). David always seemed just a little bit in disarray. Maybe he wasn't, there was just always that sense to him.
When it comes to billing, it seemed straight forward. He allows PayPal, so you can use Paypal Credit and get 6 months free financing, which is nice. We paid every bill in full. At one point, they took one of their perviously paid bills and during their "routine auditing," found that they had been charging us at a higher rate than agreed upon. In this case, it worked in our favor. But, they also miraculously found additional charges that not only added up to the difference of the charged rates, but made it so we still owed mor
