I am so surprised to hear some of these negative comments towards Bill O'Day. I used him for my very messy and unpleasant Divorce a couple years back and he was the only bright spot of the entire mess. He was supportive, helpful, encouraging, and when all was said and done he let me decide what was truly best for me, not only financially but what I had to live with emotionally. He always kept me informed and I felt that I truly had an advocate for my side of things. I continue to deal with the Law Firm he represents and find their fees (as well as his) in line with getting quality representation. He was a solid force at a time when I was not able to stand up for myself. I highly recommend him and feel he is a credit to the Profession.

I hired him for my divorce and he was horrible. He overcharged me for everything, and lied to me. He didn't return my phone calls and charged if you left a message to call you back. At times it seems as though he was my husbands lawyer. I noticed, that he would tell me one thing before any hearings but after I paid him each time to go into court with me he would tell me something else. Note. I am typing this for a friend!

I chose William O'day because he was one of the few lawyers on my legal plan that would work for as little as Hyatt legal paid. In our first consultation O’day was very informal, apathetic, and uninformative. The real frustrations came when I told him we had agreed to all the terms ourselves, it would be uncontested, and asked him to prepare the documents. My matter was very urgent because my wife was teetering on advise from her family to get her own lawyer and make it a big fight. O'day promised to finish in 3 days. After a week went by and I hadn’t heard anything at all I began to call daily and only ever got his voice mail. He never returned the calls or the e-mails I sent. After 2 weeks had gone by I really became annoyed and extremely persistent. Finally he contacted me and said that he was very busy and couldn’t work on my paperwork and maybe I should find another Lawyer who wasn’t as busy. There was no apparent concern or loyalty for me or my case.
