Horrible communication and extremely lazy! My child’s father didn’t do a drug test that was supposed to be done within 45 days. I was constantly the one reaching out to the GAL & having to go to the courthouse myself to file motions. I was my own lawyer pretty much & all she did was show up to court to get it continued & wanted me to pay her for that day. I now have a new lawyer & it was a pain in the but to get my court documents back from Susan and now you would think she fell off the face of earth because she will not respond to emails or phone calls to meet up with my new lawyer to sign a paper so that she can represent me in court. It’s holding everything up. Save your money than to hire Susan!!! She also looked VERY unprofessional in court & I was embarrassed !

I wrote on here in August that I signed an agreement with my soon to be ex, its October and Susan still has not filed the divorce. I need to do a motion to compel just to make her do her job, crazy. Her own client has written complaints against her. Lazy lazy lazy

No real knowledge of her court cases. no research of subjects, a simple laywer who does not care or have any concern about her cases, to her its just about the money. My proof is my case.

Her rates are lower than some, that's all. She seems tough but forgets things, never writes things down, won't call back, and totally unprepared when it matters most. I lost a lot of money due to her insufficiency. She'll tell you you'll be fine, then you lose, 'cause she got her money- she just doesn't care!!!

I never had one problem with Susan. She is a bulldog. If ever I had a problem, Susan would be right there trying to find a way through the problem. Attorneys are not supposed to be sympathetic and I did not expect her to be. She tells it to you like it is and that’s that. She is a fighter in court but YOU have to make sure you give her something to fight for.

Ms. Messenger is not a trial lawyer. Her goal is try and settle cases. Her presence in court is less than professional and her appearance is that of a 50 year old gym teacher. One person called her a bulldog on here. Yes, she has quite a bark. But her bite is that of a poodle without teeth. As far as the rating with all 5's , we all know that Ms. Messenger wrote that herself. Hey how about Vernon Chappelle, Ms. Messenger? He wanted to call the media out to his house as he was holding his wife at gunpoint just to expose your poor representation in his divorce case. WAY TO GO! Um, yeah. Better off calling a public defender straight out of law school

I gave this lawyer 1000.00 in July to start my case. Been to one hearing, to get spousal support, medical insurance, among other things. I have had NO HELP from this office, still have nothing my order stated. I originally had an hour free appt with Mr. Morrison, which turned into 5 minuites as he was too busy accepting calls to listen to me. I then met with Ms. Mssenger, the day before court!& the date was changed, I wouldnt have known if I hadnt called for this appt! Seriously. Try calling them for anything and you have to fight tooth and nail for help. I still do not have any original paperwork I signed, which I have asked for over and over. Mrs. Morrison is real mess to deal with. After talking to her she rampaged on about how the firm was going to drop my case. Ms. Messenger called and assured me it was ok. Obviously it's not. SO BEWARE of them period! I guess money talks...as all I have now is a bill, first one, saying Im late w payments. GO Figure?!? Idon't know how they sleep!

A fantastic lawyer. Prepared and professional! Willing to work and knows how to get the best possible outcome. When you need someone who will be honest with you and not hide anything, call Ms. Messenger.
There are a couple of previous ratings that are completely wrong. Theres no way that someone could be talking about her as dressing in too little or being uncaring. When you meet her you will understand. The fact that these ratings are even listed under her name shows that there must be some inaccurasies with this site!

Very unprofessional in court. Appearance is important and Messenger needs to work on hers something fierce! Not good at communicating with clients. Talks before thinking.

Just unbelievable. I had a war to fight and it took lots of battles, but one by one we won each battle and soon we will win the war. Susan doesn't give up. She kicks butt and doesn't even bother to take names. Her staff is helpful, responsive, and really cares about our case.

We refer to Miss Messenger as Bulldog & Captain Tenacious around our house. She has represented my family in a nasty custody & divorce case where my son has received full physical custody of his daughter from his "bad mommy" wife [whose visitation is currently suspended]. Miss Messenger takes her cases & trials personal & can react & think on her feet @ warp speed in Court. All the Judges [5 so far] we have been before respect her. I never thought I would say this about any Lawyer, but Miss Messenger above all else is an honorable person with unquestionable integrity.....I'm real glad she's on our side. For a father to get full physical custody of a daughter in the Commonwealth of Viginia tells me Miss Messenger knows her way around a courtroom.

Susan is great! I was in a VERY bad situation when I came to her and she calmed me and took the time to explain a forgein process to me. Since then, she has gotten me full legal custody of all of my children and my "waste-of-space" ex is in his place....Far away from me and my children! I would recommend her services to anyone.

Ms. Messenger is awesome! She has helped us with a very difficult custody case, so far my son has tempory full custody of his 6 yr. old daughter. Just today she was successful in having the mother's vistation rights suspended, at least on a temporaty basis. I would highly recommend her!
