This person was appointed at DuPage County through a judge's ruling as a G.A.L. No thorough investigation to protect children. No home visit to the parent who was in question for abuse and neglect. Her reasoning for her opinion was based upon the ruling of a case that was presented to the courts vs looking at all the facts and interviewing the proper people to make a professional and informed opinion. In my opinion, this person should not used for legal advice and does a shoddy job. She should not be allowed to serve as a G.A.L. as her lazy work will put children at risk. She did not question the children on relevant issues including known abuse, drug use by the parent in question, and did not seek the counselor's records where death threats were documented. She has done a poor job and now my children are at risk.
