Joe Phelps charged me $10,000 to modify child support, eight years post divorce, to the legal minimum. The single filing of the modification is $300 at the Cook county court house. it took eight months and although he stated that $2500 would be more than enough, he and the other lawyer kept issuing continuances. All the while, I never got statements timely or notices from him as to what was happening- in order to "save money".
