Sharon A Zogas was an attorney for buyer who signed real estate contract with me.
The Illinois Title Insurance Act requires that any producer of title business must disclose
to the parties paying for the title or closing services the financial interest of the producer
and an estimate of the charges to be paid (215 ILCS 155/18). Real Estate Settlement
Procedures Act (RESPA) (12 USC ยง 2607).
Sharon A. Zogas fails to disclose the fact that she is an agent for Old Republic National
Title Insurance Company. She insists phone calls and no emails; then she orders title insurance without revealing her association with Title Company, without revealing her financial interest.
Her price of title insurance is also much higher than regular price. She charged $1,600;and another lawyer charged $750 for exactly same title insurance.
