BEWARE of this guardian. She is only out for the money!! She will risk a child's life in the hands of a criminal just so she gets paid more!!!!

Marian Weeks is corrupt & hateful with FAR too much power in Cobb Co. courts. We were new to complicated processes of the judicial system & unaware of our rights or her history of harmful behavior as a lawyer and Guardian ad Litem (i.e. lawsuits brought against her). Shockingly, once she is assigned to your child you are forced to pay unexplained fees & it is nearly impossible to have her re-assigned. In our case, she put the life of a fragile six year old in the hands of an abusive sociopath. As the guardian of children, she is obligated to champion their best interests but, appallingly, she is available to the highest bidder. Her underhanded tactics included repeatedly rescheduling critical court appearances, to her advantage & the detriment of a child. When she finally appeared in court, she LIED under oath on behalf of someone she privately called 'unbalanced'. This child has suffered unspeakable mental abuse at the hands of his father & she is directly responsible.

Marian Weeks mishandled my divorce in many ways. She never returned calls, relied on her admin to do the work. She was unattentive and we never received financial disclosures from my husband - the result is a big mess. I paid her $10,000 in retainer and after 2 years have never received a statement despite many repeated requests. I have now switched attorneys and hopefully will resolve things this year. I feel she stole my money from me and I plan to take her to court at some point.
