The only difference in hiring him rather than allowing a public defender to take this case was that we were out tens of thousands of dollars for nothing! Do not hire a lawyer who is only willing to work (take your money) up until the preliminary hearing. He was also rude and seemed irritated whenever I called him. And on occassion he never returned my phone calls!
