Hiring Lisa Batts to handle my divorce was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. She came highly recommended—but what I got was a lazy, dishonest, and predatory attorney who exploited me at one of the most difficult times in my life.
She failed to represent me,Communication was inconsistent.Strategy? Nonexistent.
Then comes the most egregious part: After she TERMINATED our attorney-client relationship, she had the audacity to SUE me in small claims court for more money. This is AFTER she already overbilled me. Her invoices were padded with unauthorized charges and vague descriptions.

Lisa just represented me in my divorce and was fantastic! She was extremely organized and provided great advice. One of my court dates was the day after a holiday and she was in her office on the holiday and working on my behalf! She was making every effort to work with opposing counsel who could have cared less to work on my ex-husband’s behalf. We had a critical deadline the next morning to settle and he thought he should enjoy the holiday. She put MY case above her own personal life. She and her staff always returned my calls! I’m so pleased I went with Lisa! She was SO dedicated that she called me in the evening to reassure me before court appearances.

She was a terrible attorney in a recent divorce case for my side. She never listened to our needs, then she over-charged for every minor little issue, i.e., postage to mail copies of documents, and copying. Also, she charged us for whenever she was in contact with the OPPOSING party, and listened and spoke to the OPPOSING party, then deducted the charges from MY retainer! What? I've never heard of an attorney doing this! Why would I pay for her to talk to the other party who is against me? That, in itself was unethical and I hope the ethics board and Florida Bar will cite her a penalty fee....

Lisa Batts was my attorney for my divorce. Lisa was knowledgeable, ethical and honest. I had contacted her on numerous occasions about my case and she always had an answer or solution. Lisa is a caring person that truly invests herself into her clients. I think Lisa is the best attorney in town.

Lisa Batts has helped me with several child modifications. The first time she was able to get a lower amount for me and we didn't have to go to court. The second time was special, she was able to get a downward modification. You see I'm the father and I was remarried. My son with my current wife has multiple organ diseases. It is very costly to support him with his medical expenses. With all the hard work she put in on the case I was awarded a downward modification of over two thirds of what I would have had to pay. Over the time she worked on our case which was about two plus years, she got to know my son and what he was going through and the strain it put on the family financially and emotionally. In the end after the case was done, she waived her fee knowing all that our son and family had gone through... I'm great full for all she has done for my family. I recommend Lisa to anyone who is having problems with their ex.... She is tough and gets it done.

Lisa represented me recently and I was thrilled with the results! She is very concise, precise and communicates clearly with both sides for a result that is phenomenal. I was named in a lawsuit by someone who had a serious vendetta against me and in the end I prevailed, as I deserved, for being so unfairly treated. However if I had not had Lisa on my side, I would say, that I would not have come out nearly as well and I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough!

Lisa is by far the best lawyer you can get, she pays attention to detail and is very prepared. She worked very hard for us in a custody battle, she is totally worth every penny spent. She cares and gets what you deserve.She is always easy to contact and helpful when you have questions. She took us all the way to trial with great confidence. Couldnt be and happier with all her hard work.

SHE ALWAYS THINKS SHE WILL WIN. ONLY ARGUES WHAT SHE BELIEVES WHAT SHE THINKS WILL BE THE WIN . DOES NOT BRING ALL FINANCIAL AND OR ALL EVIDENCE TO GET BEST RESULTS IN COURT MY DIVORCE WAS A DISASTER . I had to pay her more than I got in the divorce 29 year marriage and in business 22 years. I would never recommend her horrible. TRY to settle it just cost to much money.

Mrs. Batts was hired as a divorce attorney. gave her a $10,000 dollar retainer on Saturday, on followining Monday I told her not to proceed. She drove to my bank on Monday to cash checks.
On Tuesday she told me my whole retainer was not refundable and that she had already spent the funds. I am filling with FL. BAR.
