We went to court and she had not even filed the PreTrial Memorandum. Judge asked her why we were there she said contempt. He had to counsel here on what that takes. He asked why contempt and she told him jail time and that's it. She didn't even know the amount we were seeking. Within a week of court she started hitting me with more money needed. I asked in February will $5,000.00 get me in court she said she didn't see a problem. $20,000.00 later on a case that had all the supporting evidence of contempt I am nowhere but continued. BTW if I did not give her about ten grand extra by court date the following week she would not show up. I think now it would have been better for her not to show up. It was embarrassing.

Spent 30 k from 2019-2022 and never filed what needed to be filed for contempt of parenting plan. Yet I review emails and she agreed there was contempt of parenting plan. Now I am also faced with possibly repaying my ex child support due to him getting SSD . Nothing was ever brought to my attention that this could possibly happen. I paid for a service and had expectations. The judge now told me nothing was filed so he can’t listen to what I have to say when I did my conference hearing myself. If we filed on every account then the judge would have had docs to look at and would have addressed it. Hiring this law firm you will feel that you will be saved, yet you will still be drowning out at see

Claudia helped me with a non contested divorce...this was a difficult time for me and she was very helpful and kind. Handled my insecurities well and had patience when describing what would happen next. I highly recommend her services.

My husband and I hired Ms.Blackwell in Feb 2017 to help us modify periodic permanent alimony.My husband has been paying his ex-wife who has been living with the same man in a financially supported relationship since 2003. This was proven and acknowledged by the judge on the day of our trial in November 2018. Ms. Blackwell filed a plea of elimination of alimony and we totally lost our case. We were never counseled, beforehand, that asking for elimination of alimony was all or nothing, no chance for reduction. We would never have agreed to make this plea to the judge. We wanted elimination but realistically knew that, at best, we would get a reduction in the alimony because his ex-wife does not work. The judge told us in his closing remarks that there is substantial evidence of a supportive relationship but our fatal mistake was filing for elimination of alimony. Ms. Blackwell's lack of proper guidance and advice lost our case and cost us a lot of money. I would never recommend her.

Claudia was to the point, but helped soothe it over with her empathy. She understood what I was going through and tempered emotion with the law. I am very grateful for guidance, knowledge. I felt like I counted, made a difference. I wasn't just another divorce..She is well above her peers. She wants to make a difference, powerful and sympathetic. She would make a great judge - someone who upholds the law, with a human side. We need more of that and less of the egotism...

Working with Claudia Blackwell was the demise of my divorce proceedings! She has poor insight, horrible follow through and poor ability to hold her own in court proceedings. She can talk the talk in the office, but that's as far as it goes!!!! She actually never completed my divorce and I was subject to contempt charges due to her lack of communication!

Claudia Blackwell & the entire firm of Ayo & Ikon are top notch & I am so thankful for them all! I met with Ms. Blackwell on more than one occasion to prepare for my hearing & was impressed with her knowledge of my case in such a short time, her professionalism & understanding of the needs of my case, which has proven to be a common theme with the Ayo & Ikon firm & it is appreciated. Ms. Blackwell was thorough, compassionate & well versed & made sure I was prepared, something my prior attorney never did. We attended my hearing & all I can say is WOW! Claudia did a FANTASTIC job! She was professional, unlike my ex's attorney as well my prior attorney, & presented my case better than I could have imagined. It was clear her objective was to do her best & she did exactly that! She was aggressive, but professional during the hearing & was able to present the case exactly as I had hoped. As a result she was able to get across to the judge what I needed for my children's safety & well being
