Nigel has a solid understanding of family law and many years of successful experience in this field. He knew how to navigate different stages of negotiations between my EX and I for our separation agreement. His services costed us far less than we expected. I recommend him with no reservations.

Likes to get paid a lot for little work. Always in a rush. He had another client in a different room while he was still with me. Had to re-do my documents twice due to wrong date. Awful. Do not recommend.

Used for his mediation services, Avoid him at all costs. He started all nice and quickly changed his tone and tried to prolong the mediation process as much as possible. Once we paid he was in a rush to get out of the office and was seen running out. He also yelled at his assistant numerous times. On top of all that he over billed us by quite a bit. I truly regret going to see him.

Disgrace to the legal profession and without moral compass in family law. Diverts and intentionally prolongs proceedings and attention to clear issues at hand in order to fill his pockets. Loves the sound of his own voice and writes latin in his correspondence to somehow show off? He corresponds with a judge on multiple occasions about a live file without first informing opposite counsel and to try and gain an unfair advantage which would normally result in a severe reprimand from the lsuc. A disgrace to the profession. Loves making money on other peoples misery. Never I repeat never hire this dinosaur.

He is good, aggressive at times. Listens at first but then closes him self to you unless you get mad at him to stop and listen to your opinion. Did every thing he said he would to get the deal done but rushed through to get the simple easy case done quick and with the rush a few things were missed that needed to be put on paper. Overall satisfied with the result of the way he conducted him self and that the deal got done within a good time frame.

I found Mr. McLeod to be a compassionate lawyer with an attitude of resolving issues in a fair and reasonable way. Mr. McLeod charged a fair price for the work done. In my case (which was fairly simple), he gave an estimate of the total potential cost of the job at hand. This estimate turned out to be accurate - it was what he charged me. Mr. McLeod obviously has very good knowledge of Family Law and much experience with the collaborative approach as well as the traditional court system approach. I received good advice and I am very satisfied with the results of my case. I believe that Mr. McLeod is a good person & that is important to me when conducting any business.

Nigel helped me during a tough time, he was patient when i was angry (at my ex) he clearly explained my legal position in layman's terms. I never felt financially pressured, all fees were explained well in advance and there were no unpleasant surprises. He negotiated in my best interests. He did it fairly and with the interest of me and my child at the forefront of his actions. I recommended this lawyer to my friend going through a divorce and I would recommend him again

Nigel was informative, helpful, and always in good humor. Answered all our questions and helped us get an uncontested divorce quickly and without any hiccups. He was very courteous and professional. He responded to inquiries quickly. He was exactly the lawyer we needed to make our divorce simple and painless. He even went out of his way to make sure that we were not paying any inordinate fees, and set us up with a mediator who charged us a fair amount. Our divorce order and certificate came through exactly when expected. I would recommend Nigel to anyone trying to get a simple divorce. He was great. We always left there talking about how lucky we were to have found a lawyer who understood what we were trying to do was just get divorced and not destroy one another.

I highly recommend the services of Nigel for anyone dealing with separation and divorce. Unfortunately I had to go through three lawyers before I found someone who truly wanted to represent my interests. His responses to questions and information or updates were always prompt, professional and thorough. His knowledge and expertise are evident in offering different options for the client to consider, including possible outcomes if one were to choose any of those under consideration. I went to see him for a few family cases, he is very knowlwelgable, takes time to explain details and options! Efficient in his paper work, don't like to sit on things.. Also well connected to other Lawyers and Judges, will reach a resolution quickly without going to court...he is that good! I highly recommend him..he also offers a free half hr to hear your case :)

To be honest, I went into the law office trepidation. I work with lawyers daily in my performance of my duties and have for the most part found that Shakespeare was correct. However, Mr. Macleod showed me that the stereotypes can be very incorrect, and reminded me that I have to keep an open mind. My experience with Mr. Macleod was an eye opener and, while going through a divorce is never really going to be pleasant, my experience was made incredibly easier by his professionalism and attention to my needs as a person and not paycheck. As for claims that he is only interested in money - he did a lot of work for me pro bono. I have recommended him to a number of friends now, and will continue to do so.

Worst Lawyer EVER!! beware!! trust me you will thank me later...Because of him I barely see my son, and he went along with what the other party, the judge was even confused on what Nigel was doing cause he was suppose to be representing me but because the judge can't say anything she had to go along with the decision. And then he yelled at me in front of the other party which was completely embarrassing. TRUST ME DON'T DO IT. HE SEEMS LIKE HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING BUT IT WILL ONLY HURT YOU IN THE LONG RUN.

This lawyer is the worst, a very poor listener, interrupts while you are talking, worst communicator, does not act on his own client's best interests, was more interested in negotiating in favour of the other party instead of yours. Agrees with what the other party wants instead of what his client wants. Only interested in how much money you have; instead of how much he can do for you. On the day of the court, he did not tell us prior to the Court that he had no intention of representing our best interest of shared custody, instead, he practically agreed to what the other party wanted which was full custody. When we asked him why, he stated, "why should I proceed, do you think you can afford to pay me?" This lawyer was very rude, no professionalism. I am very disgusted and disappointed in how he treated this case and we will never forget him for that. I will never recommend this lawyer to anyone.

My ex (who initiated the whole mess) refused to get his own lawyer, so he chatted with Mr. MacLeod and guess who got to pay? Plus, I went back to school and asked for things to be put on hold -- he ignored me and then tried to take every thing I'd received in my settlement. Terrible lawyer - perhaps he's better if his client is a man because he sure didn't represent my best interests.

Nigel talks like he knows what he's doing but the other lawyers don't respect him and don't work to resolve things with him as a result. So you end up losing in the long run. He speaks in terms of a 'battle' in a war or a baseball runner rounding the bases but then he can't execute in the court room. He seems sincere, I think he wants to appear better than he really is. I lost it all in my divorce because he showed up at a simple hearing while I was out of town, a no brainer is what he called it, just to have the judge clear the days table to hear my complete case. Nigel admitted to me that he was unprepared for the case that day and so I lost everything.

He is respectful, practical and excellent at explaining the legal process in layman's terms. He is a good man who helps to seek fair & reasonable resolution and who will go to court if all else fails.
