I can't say enough good things about Anthony Martin and the incredible support he provided during my divorce. Honest. Knowledgeable. Caring.
Anthony Martin gets an A+ from me.
I had been representing myself for almost two years. I was faced with a fast approaching court date. Mr. Martin was extremely attentive to my need to secure a future for my children in the wake of a marital breakdown. He was extremely knowledgeable about the law and he quickly learned my case’s information. Most importantly, he told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. He was honest about potential results, walked me through each step and was extremely knowledgeable about how the court process works as well as typical results in the courtroom. He often worked late nights and weekends. He was aware of my limited budget and worked within those parameters. Thanks to his attention to detail, he was able to negotiate a settlement and remove the risk of court for me. He was extremely fair and honest. If you are looking for a family law lawyer, I would highly recommend Anthony to anyone.

Anthony is a very knowledgable and easy to work with. I retained him for my family court submission; he was very time-efficient and a problem solver. He returns calls and emails timely, (unlike my previous legal counsel). He produced an outstanding work.

Horrible and shocking experience with Anthony Martin. I had to fire him after he showed up the third time to court without having submitted a brief or being even minimally prepared. The last judge blasted him in court, expressing his shock that he failed to file a brief. The judge referenced an earlier incident on another case where he did the same thing. Apparently the judges and other lawyers know about his incompetence and negligence. A law student who was present in court came to me after and said I should file a complaint against Anthony with the Law Society for failing to follow basic rules of procedure in court. Do not engage Anthony Martin or he will seriously jeopardize your case and cost you dearly. He actually billed for work he did not do. He copies and pastes his responses from other cases. I had to rewrite 75% of his Defense filings for me as they blatantly wrong. I wish I read these reviews as it is clear others have had awful experiences with him. I learned my lesson.

I hired Anthony and I can say that he did a great job-given the horrible situation that I was faced with. He understands his clients' needs, explains the law, and allows clients to make decisions based on advice provided. If you want someone who actually prepares for court & knows the law; who will also treat you w/respect, he is your guy. I cannot recall the numerous times I broke down in his office, but he was an absolute professional every single time. I now have my own life back. He represented me at trial,I was extremely satisfied at the end. He goes to court prepared, is versed on the legal issues at hand, always. I was also prepped for trial, and provided with materials beforehand. Every meeting ended with him asking if I had any other questions. His office is organized- which speaks volumes, not chaotic & disorganized. I would recommend him 1000 times over. He really gave me my life back and worked with me when I needed a lawyer to take my case.

This lawyer repeatedly filed briefs with misinformation, and allowed his client to pull his strings for a pay cheque. Low morals, and an even lower level of actually caring for what happens to people, including their children, long after the cheques have cleared. I'm speaking from the other side as I have had a front row seat to watch this lawyer repeatedly waste the courts time, along with my time and money on issues that he merely copies and pastes from his client without taking the time to make sure their claims have the evidence to back them up. If you're looking for someone to represent you that will drag out your case, focus on issues that have been covered already or that really don't matter, then this is your guy! Get ready for a long battle and a violent reduction in your hard earned money.

Anthony is an excellent communicator, a hard worker and made the best of a difficult situation. He was compassionate and fair and set my mind at ease many times, always just a phone call away when I needed him. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone that requires the services he provides and I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for me.

Phenomenal experience with this lawyer. I felt relief in his answers before i even signed him up as my lawyer. In the end it all got resolved.

He is a billing artist as mentioned earlier. I was with him for too long and the case went no where! Stay away from this guy there are better options out there!

Anthony Martin helped get me through one of the most difficult times of my life. A colleague recommended him to me and I am so glad he did. Anthony explained what I should reasonably expect right up front as well as the different processes as we came to them, in layman’s terms so that I had a full understanding of what was happening and why. He returned phone calls and emails to me in a timely fashion and because I don’t work banker’s hours, he scheduled appointments at times that worked better for my work and family schedule. I found Anthony to be an honest, no nonsense kind of guy and have already recommended him to another friend.

common sense tells you to run , when a lawyer bills you for time repeating the same questions. Fired him after 4,000.00 dollars wasted and could not give me a clue of what the end cost would be . Hired a lawyer who basically did the entire work all in for 2/3 the cost of what I paid Martin without even knowing what the end cost was going to be. Anthony V.R. Martin in Toronto, Ontario is a hustler, and my experience with him is a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. This guy has NO CLUE about how to prepare and serve a case, much less how to win a case. Yet, he is NOT SHY about generating bills. He would purposely DRAG out your case through unnecessary legal processes. He would unblushingly PAD your bill by making careless factual errors and basic language mistakes to be corrected at your cost after moronic denials in combative emails, making unnecessary (or phony) copies at an outrageous per page rate, and using mostly secretarial services as legal services. I FIRED this fellow in the middle of the first of a senseless series of legal processes he planned to rope me in. I wish I had never hired this billing artist in the first place!
