Gary was incredible every step of the way through my divorce proceedings. He was always available for questions and easy to work with. Attorney Avratin made a difficult situation a bit easier to navigate due to his professionalism, willingness & ability to move the process along as quickly as possible and his compassion. Gary was my savior! I had an extremely complicated divorce and he managed to uncover ALL my husband’s lies and fraud. He attacked my EX from all angles and put us in a great negotiation position.The discovery was very effective , he left no stone unturned. He is also great as a person. We clicked from the first interview and I think this the most important. You need to be comfortable with your lawyer. Although he is very busy , he always got back to me. If I hand an emergency and couldn’t get him via email, I would text him and he would get right back to me.Helene is the sweetest human being and very patient. She will review your motion a million times till you are happy. Great legal team, but most importantly, compassionate people.

I hired Gary to pick up the pieces from a failed mediation based on a referral from the divorcing parents class! Gary and Helene were outstanding from the start. Gary was compassionate, knowledgeable, available, and highly effective. My ex balked at the mediation proposal demanding more money, and ended up with less than that proposal after the court process wrapped up. Gary demonstrated a great command of the law, presented my options and provided me excellent counsel throughout the process. The divorce process can be painful both emotionally and financially.
If you want an attorney who listens well, is compassionate and will have your back when you need protection, Gary is your guy.
My case was exceptionally complex. When we arrived in court the opposing attorney commented on how much work Gary did on my agreement. Even the judge expressed how unusual it was to reach agreement without a trial.
If he is ever delayed in responding to non urgent matters, be patient; he is worth the wait!

Divorce is not easy.It takes too long, it costs too much; it weakens you mentally, physically, emotionally and definitely financially.

Gary came highly recommended by a friend (one of his former clients), and I’m glad he was on my side during my divorce. I highly recommend gary and Heleen. Gary got me custody of my two daughters that are now 15 and 12 years old. I was dealing with a woman that wanted to take me to the cleaners. Its a happy ending. My daughters were able to stay in the only home they have ever known. They now are both honor students in school.
