I was searching for a personal injury attorney in the Ormond Beach, Florida area when I surprised to see the review regarding Katherine Woodard. I currently am asking her to handle a business problem similar to the problem I had in the year 2000. I also needed a attorney who specializes in personal injury cases. She does not handle personal injury. I decided to see what all my options are which brought me to this web-site. The person who wrote this review was involved in a family matter which can be very emotional in nature. It is my opinion that it just did not go well for that person had hoped. So,he/she attacked the only person that they thought to blame. In 2000, Katherine took my case on and did not asked for a retainer. Again, today, She agreed to look into my current situation without asking for a retainer. Although she was compensated for her efforts, it did not cost me "thousands" of dollars. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the woman. I highly recommend her.

It's impossible to get a question answered without scheduling an appointment. She wants a huge retainer fee, even if your case is simple and quick and doesn't involve going to court. Forget about getting the remainder of your money back. Oh, and if you ask for an itemized statement, forget that too. Apparently, she doesn't feel it's necessary to let her clients know how much she's over-charging them. I guess it wouldn't sting 'as much' if she actually fought for me. She only worked a few hours on my case and expects to keep the entire $5,000 retainer. For a year now I've been trying to get a financial statement only to hear one excuse after another. Hopefully this review will help other people in need of an attorney. There are professional lawyers out there who fight for their clients, and give itemized monthly statements. Unfortunately, Kathrine Woodard isn't one of them.
