I could not have asked for better guidance and advice throughout a very painful process. Chris was a great lawyer! He listened, and was able to translate the legalese into a format I could understand. He was fair in dealing with my ex (who emailed him constantly after deciding to represent himself), in that he didn't charge me for those emails. I found him to be extremely transparent in his billing practices, and extremely knowledgeable in the law. If you need a lawyer for family law, get him! I highly recommend!

He took over a somewhat complicated situation that had been dragged out for half a year with my previous lawyer. He had all issues dealt with in just over a month. He responded to nonsense from opposing counsel with solid fact and logic. Excellent communication. Very satisfied with the performance!

I highly recommend this lawyer. Chris has excellent communication skills and is very easy to understand. He is prompt at retuning calls and follow up by email was always as promised. Chris always focused on what was fair and how to get issues resolved in a timely manner. I found his costs to be very reasonable and there were no surprises! Chris is an amazingly organized, communicative, intelligent Family Law Lawyer. I had an ex come after me with a few different demands and Chris predicted the Judge's outcome to a T. He does all of his own emailing and writing, making communication concise and personal feeling. Furthermore, Chris is a very ethical legal representation. He would not support anything that wasn't fair in the court of law. Despite having a lot of anxiety about the legal case, Chris put my mind at ease with his fast work; often having Orders wrote an hour after a phone conversation. Less time spent means less money spent.

Chris is probably the worst lawyer you can ask for in Edmonton. He knowing led me to lie on my affidavit which from there on led to total breakdown of my case. It ended up biting me during questioning. From there on my trial became a mess which I could not recover from, making me lose custody of my little ones and having to pay more child support. I wouldn't recommend him to a friend.

Chris was great and I would highly recommend him, especially to folks wanting to stay out of court. He is responsive, fair and professional. He was honest and transparent about costs. I especially liked that Chris did not play into the drama created by opposing lawyer, which would have made things really expensive and time consuming. He is calm and kind, and perhaps most importantly for me, a decent human being.

I would recommend Chris in a heartbeat. Highly professional, small practice so you avoid the additional costs a big firm allocates; Chris's overall costs were more than fair and half of what I expected going in. He is efficient with the time he allocates and charges to your file. He was honest with me with what I can expect even if it wasn't the answer I was hoping for. We communicated mostly through email with only a couple in person discussions at the beginning and a couple conference calls throughout the process which start to finish took nine months. Please note, this is your divorce, Chris has multiple files he works on, do yourself a favor and educate yourself and be organized with all the documentation required to support your positions. Review everything in detail as it is easier to correct an email or position before it is sent to the opposing lawyer. You will also save money the more organized you are and feel more in control of the process. Two thumbs up Chris!!

He is great with his billing, communications promptly, and is skilled a mediating issues to ensure the best solution is found for everyone involved. In my case, he managed to get the other party to settle on a number of issues where it had seemed honestly impossible for years prior, and for the one unresolved issue he ensured that the proper outcome was reached in court. After repeated failed attempts to get my ex to agree to a joint filing, I contacted Chris. While the file was relatively simple, my ex wanted to draw out the process to drive my costs. First of all let me say that out of all the lawyers I contacted when trying to find council, Chris was the only one who took the time to actually listen to the details of my case before quoting any cost. At our first meeting, he actually made recommendations for us on how we could cut legal costs. He is a lawyer who cares about families. At a court hearing Chris was able to ensure that my child's best interests were heard and understood by the judge, and we succeeded on every matter presented in our favour. This lawyer is a joke. He just wants a court battle and feels it is professional to include his personal opinion in all communications. He will poke and prod both sides of the parties to try and get them to court. He did not resolve anything in my divorce and charged ridiculous fees. I wouldn't recommend him to ANYONE.
