He is horrible and never returns calls and takes your money and does nothing. He doesn't follow through and leaves you hanging. He has been dealing with a divorce for over 5 years and nothing has been settled. He moves his office so many times and doesn't tell you the location. His knowledge of Divorce Law Appears to is seriously lacking. He either has no idea how to file the correct forms relating to Support Issues/Domestic Relations processes, or he opts not to focus on the correct protocol/detail. I discovered that he lied on multiple occasions, failed to attend scheduled hearing, was inconsistent with communications, he failed to return calls 85-90% of the time, and always has a multiplicity of sophisticated/credible excuses. He left me in a lurch with a $10,000 support arrears resulting in the loss of my professional licensure, and he has never returned my phone call to this day. He did make sure that he received his fees before he went "Underground". Current or future clients should be warned to secure all legal judgements/commitments in writing. Mr. Janis has a propensity to avoid sharing any written documents or putting anything in writing. Would not recomend no one retaining him he never keeps in contact and never responds to messages also he schedules appointments and don't show up I'm very disappointed I thought highly of him in the beginning but he showed me different

A family member of mines retained Mr Janis (and paid him in full) For some Criminal charges and we really thought he cared and could get the job done. Mr Janis never returns calls or messages, Which leads me to believe he is just un caring and just wants your money then he will leave you stranded like he never met you! I will never recommend him as he needs to understand he literally has peoples lives in his hands and he needs to Give 100% to his clients and recognize the importance of each and every case.

Took money for a divorce and never filed it. Told me for almost a year divorce was almost final. Had to hire lawyer to sue for my money back

I retained Mr. Janis for a child custody dispute is an out-of-state litigant. he was being hired to file a jurisdictional complaint only.He he took my money and failed to tell me that due to a local court rule he could argue jurisdiction because more than 20 days went by before I hired him. Had I known this, I would have represented myself and saved my money for a future proceeding. in addition to disappearing for several weeks before the hearing until the day prior, Mr. Janis first claimed that he had the other side's consent for a jurisdictional argument and that they withdrew it on the eve of the hearing. This is hard to believe, as there would be no incentive volunteer for it unnecessarily. The entirety of his preparation for the hearing consisted of 2 back and forth e-mails on the evening before the hearing. There was no real preparation and it showed in court. Mr. Janis was dishonest and/or incompetent and this fact will affect my relationship with my son for years to come.

Just like many of other comments in the beginning consultation everything sounded great. Paid him my money and I barely hear from him. I Leave him tons of messages he does not respond.If he cant take on that many people due to court than he shouldn't take our money. All cases are important and need to respond to accordingly and in timely fashion. Wouldn't recommend him find another attorney.

He is a very good, solid lawyer. Its easy to get down on your lawyer when things aren't going right in your life but i know that he is there and cares.

Joshua is the worst lawyer ever. He basically took my money and did nothing. Then he promised to provide me with billing for me to see what he charged me and he never did. I called 5 more times and he never bothered to return my call. Save your money and run in the other direction from this person. He does not care about his clients, as based on his actions or in my case his inaction.

This was the worst experience. He was very nice during our first meeting. Handed over my money and that is when things changed. He is totally uprofessional - I was never anything but super nice and he NEVER replied to emails - NEVER replied to calls - the office in general is horrible. Went MONTHS without any news at all after I paid my money. Staff is nice but he is arrogant and rude when you FINALLY get him on the phone - and trust me, that is after YOU call for him - not him calling you back like a professional lawyer would. Extremely disappointed with my experience. Will never be using again.

Josh is a hard worker any you can tell he is busy but doesn't forget about his clients. Some people might rather have a lawyer who only has one client and always in the office when you call but Josh is in court fighting and there when needed.
