I used him for divorce mediation and I do NOT recommend him. He spent most of his time with my ex and advised him on how to avoid paying me what is owed under the law. My ex was ill prepared and hadn’t submitted all of the required documents. My lawyer and I submitted all our paperwork in advance, were organized and had back up for all of our #’s. In spite of this, Dinyar had only positive things to say about my ex. He told me I was wrong about capital gains taxes on a shared investment and his advice would have left me solely responsible for a huge tax bill. Not only did his services cost me a lot of money, but I have now lost considerable ground that I will not be able to regain. I recommend looking elsewhere, particularly if you are female.

I watched him speak to the judge, redirect his jr lawyer's case from the back of the courtroom, and his name didn't even appear on the transcript!! He's got power over justice system.

Excellent legal knowledge and skills; but as noted by previous reviewers he is lazy. He doesn't accept responsibility for overseeing significant financial details or for making costly administrative mistakes. Although his litigation skills are outstanding he doesn't consult clients before agreeing to "by consent" issues. If using his services, I would be very attentive to details.

Flat out not only a poorly prepared waste of time but a very costly waste of time. You would be better off to represent yourself than hire this guy.

A QC who knows his stuff, but lazy and not interested in completing a file to the best of his ability in a timely manner. Huge ego, more interested in controlling his client, than getting onto the task at hand

I cannot give this lawyer a good rating on any level. I found him to be last minute and ill prepared. Talked more with several assistants than him. All that was handled was paperwork. I asked for preparation time and a strategy he had none to offer. Finally..... When I challenged him on his approach and his lack of preparedness he said and i quote "I've given you my best efforts". Not good enough. Now here's the punch line. Yesterday, one day before a 3 week business trip he sends notification he is withdrawing his services .....the court date is only 4 weeks away leaving me one day here to find a replacement. The notice says I have 7 days to inform the court of my new lawyer or disput his resigning. AND he back dated the notice by 2 days. I believe he just wants the easy stuff

If you need solid representation and practical advice on matrimonial matters, you will be hard pressed to find better representation. I always felt I got the straight goods and best advice, even when I didn't like what I was hearing. With much at stake, I needed perspective and seasoned professional advice. He's also a nice person and a real gentleman.
