Beware! Please do you research before entrusting Sam Konikow to represent you. We paid Sam $900 against our better judgement since he does not have an office but instead meets his clients at his home. He was completely unprofessional. He did not show up to court on 2 different occasions and tried to cancel the 3rd . He called us the morning of approximately an hour before court stating he had hurt his wrist and could not show. The first two times the judge adjourned the case for a different date. On the 3rd date Sam showed only after he tried to call and cancel yet again in which he was informed the judge would no longer offer any time of adjournment.He was a complete mess when he finally appeared, could barely stand up straight which he told the judge was due to the narcotic medication he was prescribed. We tried to fire Sam twice: &he refused to listen till the judge dismmissed him from the case. Sam refuses to give us our money back even though he did nothing for our case.

My family has hired Sam on numerous occasions and he has always given us superior legal help. He was pleasant and professional, at a reasonable cost. I have recommended Sam to my friends and associates with confidence he can help them as well as he did for us.

Sam wanted my husband to plea to 9 years. We fired Sam and went with a public defender and got him 5 years. I believe Sam is a phony and he will tell you what you want to hear until he gets his money. Then that all goes out the window. Also Sam does not have an office he works from his dining room table at home. That is where I met him to give him his retainer fee. Unprofesional.
