I felt like she took advantage of me when I hired her several years ago (early 2000's). The way she treated me as a young, minority mother was uncomfortable. Meeting face to face with her, she was highly judgmental and would stare at my nails or hair while I spoke. I felt she was condescending and just plain judgmental. I hired her to help establish child support but honestly did not get anything more than if I had no attorney at all. I came across her name and owed her this review. I hope she's changed. Total waste of money.

I retained her to get a divorce and it took 2.5 years!! We weren't fighting over anything. I did everything I was asked to do. She overcharged me BIG TIME. She charged for every piece of paper, even stamps. I heard from her every few months. I got fed up and popped up in her office after work one day and DEMANDED she file for my divorce to be final. She finally sat there and typed it up and I signed and she set a court date. If she thought I was going to pay a final bill... HAAAAAAAAAA! I would NEVER recommend her.

I've used Ms.Stuart on several issues. Through a divorce, child custody, guardianship of my father, and I Never had a problem. These people whom are rating her bad must have had issues of their own. Ms.Stuart was very professional with me & my family. Yes I had to pay her fees but as with any attorney you have to pay for them to work. She was not as expensive as many other attorneys & was in the bracket of what attorneys charge in this area. As for the Tennessean they report stories just to sell papers. She had to go before a judge. The judge was the one who ruled on my cases not Ms Stuart therefore these comments seemed to be just be to say bad things to hurt her from people that the judge ruled against. Since they must have lost they are blaming her. That's wrong. Also if she was so awful why didn't you just find another attorney? You treat people the way you want to be treated which wad how I wad treated and I was very pleased. Shame on the paper & people who lie about her

She was conservator over my dad for almost 2 years. It was an awful experience. Now, earlier this week, a judge has thrown out part of the case Ginger Franklin has brought against her for taking everything she has. The judge would have ruled differently if a family member had been destroyed, as Franklin was. Terrible!

JSM was conservator over my father in law and she was horrible. Today's latest ruling holding her not liable for damage to Ginger Franklin is wrong. If it had been the Judge's wife/sister/daughter/mother, he would have made Jeanan pay. Jeanan has NO one but herself to blame for all this !!!

Aweful. Judgemental and doesn't return calls. I once called her office and asked for her. She answered the phone and said that "She isn't available". Definitely put a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to attorneys. Enouraged me to keep fighting child support in court, meanwhile racking up her fees. I was already a single parent and for her to take advantage of my youth was unethical.

JudgeKennedy lets her do what she wants. She cries if she does not get her fees, and raises prices at will.She does not return calls or emails and will demand that you have a lawyer to communicate with her.Do not use her

Today's article in THE TENNESSEAN (Sunday 2/17/2013, says it all. She was conservator for my father in law in 2011 to 2012. She charged huge fees, and all dad had was a monthly pension. She was a poor communicator, and Judge Randy Kennedy appointed and supported her. Poor Attorney.

We came from Texas and hired her to represent us in a Child Support case the 1st hearing she was there. When we and the 2nd trip in June 07 she had left us high and dry not so much as a phone call. We called the office on day of court when she was no where they said she had a funeral to attend. We traveled from Texas ( are you kidding me)for this and she didnt have the curtousy to call even the Friday before or get out date reset TERRIBLE TERRIBLE
