His office sent me another couples financial records. His paralegal did not file my paperwork in time. They can’t find any of the documentation i prepared for them. I called and emailed for 4 years without a real update. Never got notification on my separation court date. When I finally got Martin on the phone and told him of the above, he yelled at me and spoke over me.He told me it was my responsibility to find out the status of my case with him (even though I had emailed and called countless times) and told me that he has many cases and that i wasn’t the only one. Then, 4 years after this had started, when asking for an account of the work they did in preparation of demanding my money back, he had the audacity to send me an extra bill of $2000- 2 Years post! He also dropped the case from moving forward based on wrong information from my exes lawyer- for which I had provided him all documentation which proves that wrong. ADVICE: FILE COMPLAINT with the LAW SOCIETY!!!

Just awful! Ended up charging me double the going rate for a simple land transfer. Did not finish the paperwork. Ended up costing me $$$ in penalty. Has the rudest staff. When I went back to his office to inquire about the issue, I was faced with hostility, dismissed and plenty of attitude. His staff are rude and flat out vulgar. Do not recommend this law office to anyone!

Mediocre at its worst. I should have run away when I sat in front of him for a consultation regarding legal separation and he told me I would not have difficulty finding someone because I'm a good looking woman! Not what someone who going through a separation needs to hear. My separation was simple as can be. My ex and I split everything down the middle. Monies from assets were transferred to Martin Goose's account. When I was told they transferred the money into my account $2000 less was there. Without telling me they decided there was a money handling fee. I guess my dimple divorce of maybe 3 hours of work wasn't a lucrative job. I would suggest looking elsewhere. Definitely not up front about fees, unprofessional in many aspects, but if yout have nowhere else to go.....

worst customer service ever. His legal assistant is a joke- she is very rude. Also, made an appt. and had to wait 30 mins because he was too busy dealing with another client. Avoid this lawyer at all cause.

My son hired Mr.Goose for an impaired charge and basically misrepresented what he could do and how much it would cost. After thousands of dollars he basically abandoned the case . Thanks Martin......find yourself a new lawyer........

I was only 21 years old when I was hired by Mr. Goose as a Legal Secretary back in the mid 80's, he was such a great boss and person. He taught me alot and was very good to me. He was a proffesional lawyer, highly respected and today he continues to do so. Marty all the best to you and your staff.

Mr. Goose is not a horrible lawyer, but he's not one to be trusted blindly. His office staff are horrible, though. Very unprofessional, loud and practically vulgar. All in all , I would not recommend him to anyone.Unless, shady business is required.

He quoted a 'one time fee' then kept increasing it just before our court dates. He refused to quote an hourly rate then sent me a bill for twice what we asked for with some high hourly rate. Maybe good for small stuff but forget any real hard work.

Martin is the best family lawyer in the city! He has recently helped me get emancipated from my parents. He did an amazing job! I would consider him to be a second father to me! I love this guy and I would refure him to anyone! He might charge high fees but u get the results! Best Regards, JT

I find it surprising that after what appear to be three (3) honest assessments of this lawyers conduct and practices, the next six (6) are glowing reviews. Things that make you go Hmmmm...

In circumstances where lawyer or paralegal misconduct must be addressed but formal discipline proceedings are not warranted, the Law Society may authorize a Regulatory Meeting. At its conclusion, the Regulatory Meeting may be publicly noted. It may be uthorized in circumstances where the lawyer's or paralegal's conduct occurred in a public forum, and the public would reasonably expect a Law Society response to the issue.

RE: Martin Zenia Goose, 1973, Toronto, (Lawyer/Licensee) ..The Regulatory Issues ..On September 2, 2009, Mr. Goose refused to conduct his client’s trial before a presiding Judge because of his previous experiences appearing before that Judge. In open court, Mr. Goose submitted that the reason for his refusal was because the Judge had a history of treating his clients unfairly and had wrongfully convicted two of his former clients. He answered all of my questions. He was right on the ball. I don't really understand what I am reading as I was going through a divorce, he quoted me the correct billing amount, and was right on the ball with my case.

I was referred (FREE 30min consultation) to Martin Goose in 1996 on a Family Law matter by the Upper Canada Law Society.To say he was incompetent is an understatement.The information he provided was worth exactly what I paid for it - nothing.Lawyers like this give the law profession a bad name.Fortunately,I received a referral from a friend for a competent Attorney and my situation turned out well.I had been in a 14yr commonlaw relationship and was seeking spousal support as I had been out of the workforce for a number of years raising my children - I was informed by Mr Goose that I didn't qualify.Fortunately I didn't take his advice.

Quoted a fee and then billed twice the amount. Threatened to call the police on my 71 year old mother who questioned his billing. Sounds unbelievable? I know it does but in essence this is what occured. Avoid this Lawyer. Unprofessional and not of sound character.

Tells me in my initial consult that my ex can't do this and that, then when push comes to shove, his reply is.... your a male you are going to lose. Couldn't back up anything he said with case law. Not worth the money he charges!!
