Mr. Barrick represented my husband in 2006. He was one of the many lawyers that my than-husband came across and decided to hire. Luc is and till this day is ONE of the best lawyers out there. Reading all these claims that he misappropriated funds, is shocking. The irony is that he's been the only lawyer we've hired and actually got positive results and every penny, $20 000 was worth it. Unlike the other lawyers I had the misfortunate of dealing with, particularly the money hungry immigration lawyers in Ottawa, Luc was the only oen to answer phone calles, emails, was always open for face-to-face meetings and in court represented himself as a young professional and extremely knowledgeable lawyer....I am sorry that there are supposed victims out there because that is the contrast of what I experienced as his client. Now if I had to bad mouth a lawyer, this man would be the last one on earth. Good luck Luc, and thanks for all your hard work.

Luc Barric has created a very black mark on the legal profession in Canada--
He filched over $480,000, including $116,000 from his law firm’s trust account “to finance his purchase of a condominium in France registered in his name...a 13th-floor downtown condo with granite throughout which cost $439,500. ...." guess the grandaughter can holiday in France and stay free...seeing as how she owns part of that condo---I mean he paid for part of it with her money"

I own a moving company that has provided services to this lawyer on 2 occasions. After severe delinquency in making payment for services rendered for the first move, I insisted that we would not accept a personal cheque from him for moving his downtown law office to Gatineau. He was told he would have to pay by cash, bank draft, or credit card. After my crew finished moving his office, they were told that he had no money and could not find his check book. That was in January of 2011 and, after many attempts at contacting him, we are still waiting on payment. He utilized our services with the intent of defrauding us. I feel bad for all of the people who lost much larger sums of money to this CROOK.

Chased him for 3months to get our $2500 back. We were one of the lucky ones I guess. Needs a different career path for sure.

This lawyer disapeared with our $2000 retainer. I hope he ends up having to pay for what he did. His wife is a lawyer too. I wonder where she is.

completely useless as is the upper canada law society who I filed a complaint with. My brother andan I were the only immediate family members to share a over million dollar estate from my mother. I ended up with less than $67000 after the whole thing ended. What's wrong with this picture!!!???

We have filed a complaint to the Upper Canada Law office. Also, I suggest that anybody who had a bad excperience with him to do the same thing!

left country, no notice,abandonned our case without telling us,we found out all of this in a unprofessional way, I would like to hear from other clients he did this to!

Won't answer calls or return messages. Doesn't seem to have a grasp on reality or the ability to deal with it. Scary mentality for a professional that is hired to handle complex issues on behalf of his clients.

Almost zero communication with lawyer who had inexperienced legal secretary do all the work (which was done poorly). Had to push them to get information and return calls (i.e. do their job).
