I would never hire this man nor would I give him a moment of my time other than dealing with him once and for all. I live in his neighborhood. His house is filthy, no garage door for over five years. Septic running over in his yard. Juvenile delinquent drug addict young adults there that I am sure you and I are all paying there , WIC, food stamps, disability, etc. Quite sure no one is paying any child support that our tax money will be paying for I am sure. I am sure we are paying for everything for these bottom feeders. None of the children there attend school. Half the time there utilities are cut off. They have loud redneck cars that I am sure end up repossessed or wrecked. They get dogs that they let roam and don't take care of. I can not even imagine what house on the inside looks like. Complete redneck trash! Only thing he knows how to do is stay one step ahead of foreclosure on his trashy house. Worthless! They are a catastrophe waiting to happen. Police do nothing!

I hired Max Singleton to help me in a custody case. I paid $750, and he promised me amazing service. He never responded to any of my e-mails, my text messages, or my phone calls. After "working" as my lawyer for 11 months, he had not filed any paperwork with the court. I fired him after 13 months. When I e-mailed him that I was reporting him to the SC Bar for fraud, he immediately contacted me back and gave me a full refund. When I hired another lawyer for the "custody" case, the new lawyer had us in court within 2 months, and the case was completely resolved in 6 months. Do not hire Max Singleton. He is a liar, and does not do any work whatsoever.

Back year my boyfriend hire Max as his lawyer he would never meet us at his office. He would always text me and meet me at crazy place like gas station and fastfood places. Now he is in jail for not going to court n Max never told him he had to go to court. So i have been calling and i keep getting voicemail so i google his name and found his office so i drive down their to find and emepty building. So now im trying to find out what to do cause he is in jail behind Max cause he did inform of a court date or did he show up for court.

Max is a fraud it costed my family 2,000 to hire him and he didnt even get started on my case for 4 weeks. he didnt even answer the phone for my family not even once. and i sat in jail. then when he did answer the phone it was the day before the holiday weeks (christmas) and i had to sit in jail another two weeks until the courts opened back up. i sat in jail 43 days on a 30 day charge (which wouldve been 18 days) and that costed me 2,000. missed christmas with my children and new years too. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!

Max Singleton is a liar and a theif! I hired him in 2008 to represent my brother in law on an immigration hearing. Like each of the other people on here, I paid him and he never showed up to court! This case was crucial to a custody battle as well, with a 2 year old childs well being as a concern. Mr. Singleton made promises, that he never followed through with, didn't return phonecalls unless a threat of calling the bar was made, and at one point the only reason why he called back is because I talked to his wife. This man needs to be disbared and have serious jailtime for fraud. I have several emails from him promising a refund as well as more promises of real work. He is a LIAR do NOT hire him!!! His prices are low because he knows people will pay him.

I hired Max Singleton to represent my son on a CSC case. My son did not commit the crime and all the evidence points to the other guy who was at the house where this happened on july 3, 2009. Max contacted my son right after he was arrested and told him he wanted to represent him. When I got into town, I called Max. He told me he believed my son was innocent and would take the case for 3200.00. He said any other attorney would charge no less than 10,000 to take this case. I had to get back to Washington state to get the money. Max hounded me until the check was in my hands. Once he got the money, all communication stopped. It has been 1 year and 5 months since my son was arrested. I have emailed, text and called Max over and over. He never replies unless I threaten to call the Bar. Then begging me not to. Then would promise to do something for my son. He uses excuses like his wife is in hospital or his grandparents died. He won't call or visit my son. He is worthless!

My husband and I hired Max Singleton in February of last year. My husband had been falsely accused of assault. We didn't have a lot of money, and I broke down in tears in Max's office. He seemed so friendly. He offered us $750 for the whole thing. He said it would normally cost $1500 minimum. I couldn't thank him enough. He even hugged me before we left. After that he never answered a single phone call or e-mail. He didn't even show up to court. My husband had to admit guilt and do PTI. I've never been angrier or more upset with anyone in my life. I hope he goes to jail for fraud.

Horrible lawyer. He never replies to voice mails. You must wait 3-6 weeks to hear an E-mail reply. And when he gets sick of you E-mail him he with either block you or change his E-mail address while keeping your money and not talking to you again. When all you want is to see your daughter, and he promises you that he'll help, this breaks your heart.

We hired Mr. Singleton for my husband and the only time he would call us back was when he wanted money. We paid him some and all he did was say "well maybe he can get on home dentention" He was suppost to try and get the judge to release him! My husband has been incarserated for 6 months and about 10 men in his unit have Mr. Singleton as their attorney and they all cant stand him eirther. My husbands roommate hired Max and he got his charges dropped BUT is still waiting to be released becase Max wants MORE money before he will type up the letter to get the judge to sign to get him realsed. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. HIS RATES SEEM REALSONABLE BUT HES NOT!

He never showed up for the first hearing. A second hearing was rescheduled and he didn't make this one either. I was so embaraced when the judge wanted to know where our attorney was. It was a terrible experience.I had already paided 750.00 to him and none of it has been refunded.
