I believe Sally Callhan is an intelligent woman and attorney....however she has very few skills when it comes to communicating with her client. I was recommended to her and had heard good and bad...but I was desperate and did not have the time to do a thourough investigation of my options. I would have to agree with some of the other statements made on this website. I did have to confront her once or twice and was threatened that she would quit and to go get another attorney....She cannot take any constructive input if it goes against what she believes to be true. She shamed me on more than one occasion...saying I had had a chance to take my lying husband to court. She condescended to me and made me feel very vulnerable. I felt like I needed to put up and shut up all for 450 dollars an hour. I do not recommend this woman ....she has her own agenda and will do as she pleases regardless of how it is affecting her client.

Do not under any circumstances use Sally. She is in it for the money. Don't buy the grandmother act. She over bills, provides unnecessary services, and convinces you that she has to do everything. She uses scare tactics to convince you that her excessive work/billing is necessary. And that you should do nothing but sit by and let her work/bill. I feel sorry for all the people she has ripped off.

I would say this attorney is knowledgeable, tenacious, good quality work & excellent value---all for herself. She doesn't work for her clients, she works to get as money as possible in fees. Just understand that. If you want to get screwed by your ex and by your own attorney, then by all means, go to her.

I am currently using Sally and I am very happy with her service. If you are a passive personality she may not work for you. If you need a tough Lawyer and want to put the hammer on your soon to be Ex she will slam it on the ex's face. I am getting everything I want as of know :-)

She took advantage of her client, billed ridiculous amounts for no results, dragged the divorce proceedings out for over a year then dropped her client prior to trial...$50k in fees for no results. Absolutely terrible, I would definitely stay away.

Absolutely poor choice. Runs up her tab solely for her own financial benefit. Ask other attorneys in town about Sally Callahan to understand why she has such a bad reputation. I cannot stress enough that you should not hire Callahan.

Ms. Callahan seems determined only to increase her wealth without basing any of her accusations based on facts. Her client has been caught in several outright lies yet Ms. Callahan continues to take whatever she says at face value, doing nothing to verify facts, only to order depositions from unnecessary people in order to charge more hours to her client, the petitioner, as well as to cause more financial stress on the respondent in the case. Instead of making a divorce as painless for two people who are already suffering, she seems to do everything possible to delay the inevitable--both parties will be out of money.

This layer is only the type of lawer you hire if you have endless funds and you want to destroy your ex spouse. She will encourage you to go to trial even in simple cases in order to collect more fees. She is an extreme bulldog and extremely greedy and works in her best interest, not in the best interest of her clients or the overall outcome of the divorce. Unless you want a very hostile and expensive divorce this is not the attorney to use. Call other local firms, they all know of Sally and her hostile reputation. Most other attorneys will not even take a case against her. Her fees are approx. $400/hour.
