I hired Alan to help me get my ex-partners family lease transferred to my name. Alan contacted my management company without my knowledge or authorization and asked them for a buyout. Once he got the initial offer he called my ex-partner, who was not his client, and shared the information with him.
He is an ambulance chaser type of laywer, his interests are money and how can I get it. He will lie and cheat his own clients for it. Beware.

I had the misfortune to use this lawyer once for a simple case and he was awful. Day of case he left me with another lawyer I had never met and who didn't know my case. The other side ripped me to pieces. Once got a phone call to be in court within an hour. Mr. Goldberg decided to show up this time and gave one word answers to everything. When I complained, he told me how aggressive he had been. I was aggressive too... I went to the Bar Association and made sure they never recommended him again. Then I found out a lawyer from his firm had been disbarred. I complained to an online rating service when he emailed me and gave away his screen name which he used to write his own reviews. This is a big city. Keep away from this guy.

We are from out of town. Our landlord tried to overcharge us rents and say we weren't rent stabilized. Mr. Goldberg got us rent stabilized, got us a rent reduction and a refund of the overcharge amount.

They did a wonderful job and we won the case. They asked for a jury trial and the landlord's lawyer caved in. The landlord's lawyer discontinued the non primary residence case against me and gave me the renewal lease. I have a special needs child and I was especially appreciative of Mr. Goldberg's understanding and compassion. He met with me evenings and weekends because that when I was able to get help caring for my daughter.

I would agree with other people comments here. Luckily I didn't hire him. I called him and tried to talk to him about my case, but he refused to talk about my case, insist that I have to go to his office to talk about my case. This makes it fishy to me. I stopped.

Met with him for free consultation. Took our documents to read over weekend and then, did a bait and switch. Gave us someone that had no idea what he was doing. Stay away from this firm. They have no ethical morals.

Alan took a case that should have been a piece of cake and turned it into a nightmare. I suspect he became too cosy with the other side.I had to dismiss him.

Mr. Goldberg has only one strength: selling himself to a prospective client. I witnessed him in court making a terrible settlement on behalf of a friend of mine. He does no research. He folds before other lawyers. In another case, in court, he mistakenly or deliberately revealed a vital piece of confidential information to my detriment. Stay away from this guy.

passed me to 2 of his assoc., took a year to resolve case. poor communication, didn't appear he wanted to handle complaints. difficult to get return calls from his assoc.

Total waste. Sat through all depositions and argument like beaten puppy. Couldn't even open his mouth. Don't even consider to hire. Lost my pretty straight forward easy case.
