Warren Skinner handled all legal matters during my very complex divorce and legal matters in it’s periphery. He handled my case with integrity, compassion, expertise and, frankly, ingenuity. He took my case on with a genuine interest in helping a single mother with 3 young children. It effected him on a personal level; we could all see that. He loaned me his law books, set me up in an office and included me in the entire process. He even went so far as to lower his rates with a promise that I would pay it back at the end, should I do well. I did do well (thanks to Mr. Skinner). He returned my final retainer. He was the perfect attorney for my family. We are so grateful.

I tried to fire this man the first time after completely ruining my child’s court matter, and just had to fire him today, after he told me he would do nothing at court, and once telling him he’s no longer represented my family’s case he began mocking me in my tone making fun on my speech impediment. Absolutely disgusted by this joke of a lawyer who should of retired 30 years ago

My friend used this lawyer. She tried to tell this lawyer that she wanted what she was entitled to. He enticed her to create havoc in her beautiful family. She in her early 40s was not mentally stable for medical reasons not family issues. He got the money and ran to the next chemically imbalanced, mid-life crisis woman to prey on. He destroyed my friends once beautiful family. I bet he wishes he had his kid back. That poor kid died like a dog in the streets for his fathers KARMA!!!

I waited a few years after he represented me and I will say he is the purest form of why people dislike lawyers. I retained him for a wrongful dismissal he was very short with me telling me not to ask questions like how long do these type of things usually take. ( this was my first lawyer ever) on almost every occasion he make sure to tell me that he’s never been let go from any job, and when I said at the time I still had not found work he make comments like maybe they weren’t wrong in what they did. Like I said I have waited a few years in writing this but please anyone who needs a lawyer please save yourself the humiliation of going to this guy and go to someone who actually may care about your needs.

Ran across this guy at the courthouse. At first, he seemed like he got what was going on, then after my cheque cleared, things changed. This guy is very moody, and doesn't like to listen to clients and their wishes. My case was pretty simple and he dragged it out and invoiced me for time that had not been needed or likely even used. This person is completely untrustworthy and shouldn't even be considered. Save yourself the headache.

I saw him for what i believed to be a free consult but didn't retain him. I keep on getting letters and invoices asking me to pay for the free initial consult!

This man Skinner has totally messed up my son's life. If your on legal aid or have 5 cents don't go to him. The last time we spoke I truly was was shown his personality and he's not interested in your issues and likes to talk about his antidepressants he currently taking. He didn't fight for my son and considering he lost his son to a car accident, I would think that incident would carry some compassion for others, but no he's all money.maybe karma had something to do with it.. mess up everyones life that's what ya get! Do not retain.

Warren Skinner is a great lawyer. I have used him for family law, wrongful dismissal and for a small criminal matter with a teenage son. He speak facts and tries not wasting your time. I find him to be calm in trying to navigate through the various legal systems. I have ans will continue to highly recommend him for all areas of law.

Warren is amazing at what he does. He is a no nonsense lawyer, who just gets the job done! HE - is the reason I can move on with my life and have learned so much from the process. If you want the best - this is your man!!!

I am surprised by the comments about Mr. Skinner, he is currently working on my case and I find him to be compassionate and caring. Warren was also honest and upfront regarding the costs. He keeps me updated and contacts me on a weekly basis. I also am very disgusted by the comments regarding his personal tragedy. DS in Aurora

When you hear all the lawyer jokes about how bad they are... Skinner is who they are talking about. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER! I cannot believe he made it through law school. He does not care, unethical, shady and a liar! He plays games with the legal system and somehow gets away with it. They need a system to monitor these types of lawyers so they can pull their license to practice law. He is constantly jumping in-and-out of a case to make it more difficult for the other attorney to get things done. Shame on him and our legal system for not reprimanding him on his actions. If proof is needed, I have it and it will show just how shady this man is.

I didn't know there was such a site. I just discovered it. If I would of known earlier I would not have chosen this lawyer for my son. He is absolutely rude and obnoxious. He obviously needs to learn how to be a human being. Legal aid didn't pay him fast enough and told us to notify legal aid. Legal aid informed us that he was supposed to submit a request for additional funds and that this was not our responsibility, which Warren obviously knew. He's been in the business long enough. He deliberately put us threw unwarranted stress threating us he was not going to represent us if he didn't get paid. He nickels and dimes everything and does not return calls. His fee was capped by legal aid. He should not has taken on the case if he couldn't do it with the allotted funds. It was a terrible experience we had to go through with the courts. We should not of had to deal with the likes him. Please beware!!!

As reported in this review, our dealings with Mr. Skinner were equally disappointing. He appears to be interested only in obtaining money, additionally, I'm being kind when I say that he appeared to be "disengaged" or not completely "with it" at a Court appearance. His standard phraseology of "not having a magic wand," was I feel, nothing short of an excuse to do the lack-lustre effort that appears to be his hallmark. In short, we feel he is incompetent, rude, and tries to project an image of a learned person, but does not deliver. As for the monies which he is holding in trust, we have tried several times to have it returned, after firing him, we are treated to the same half-hearted explanations and hang-ups. We are letting the Law Society deal with him now. In closing we did find a lawyer with a "magic wand," Stacey Nichols. She is an extremely capable lawyer. Stay away from Mr. Skinner he exemplifies everyting that gives a "black-eye" to the profession.

Horrible service, overcharges, only after your money. I would show up for appointments and be told rudely that someone was told to call me. I received numerous invoices even though I always had a retainer with him. He would bill me for time he spent on the phone with other clients while we were meeting (while also writing the client on the phones name down and putting a charge of 0.1hr beside it), time he spent talking about himself and his personal issues, and he quote me one fee and charged nearly double. Very dissatisfied. Received volatile phone calls seeking payments I had already made and held legal documents until I made the already paid payment. Even charged me for the supposedly "free" initial consultation.

This is by far the worst lawyer I've had !!! After my consultation he told me I should move on etc , never fully even read my contract as he asked who wrote it ? WTF was wright on the paper he was reading ,Then after we agreed to amount which was poorly done and dated from 10 years ago .Finally he bills me additional charges in a email a few weeks later .Run from this guy he is after only your money .He really should be banned from law with his random billings .

Money money money!!! Thats all he is interested in. Never even met with my son before his court date. When we got to the court, first words from his mouth "YOU OWE ME MONEY" He did not say one word to my son (who is a minor) DO NOT RECOMEND HIM AT ALL. Sends you demeaning emails for money. Has no interest whatsoever in doing a good job. In my opinion he should not be allowed to practice law.

This lawyer had the opportunity to resolve issues in my case conference, but instead chose not to challenge anything. When I inquired as to why he didn't take the opportunity to represent me, he responded that we would take care of it in court. Then he asked for $25,000. That's when I fired him. Totally useless.

I went for a free consult decided to retain him, left a retainer. Then less than 8 hours later changed my mind after finding this site. He refused to give me my deposit back when I called and asked for it back nicely he hung up!! He finally sent me a cheque for 1/3 of my deposit for him doing NO work for me at all. He charged me for the free consult and for hanging up on me. What a rip off!!! Stay clear of this person I wouldnt call him a lawyer!!

He is very efficient when it comes to reminding me of what is owed him but never has my file in front of him or can respond to questions. He even bills when he makes calls to remind money is owed. Seems totally disinterested in everything!!! Better to defend yourself than bother with him!!!

My son needed representation and I wish he had stuck with his 1st impression to find another lawyer! Mr. Skinner has a very cold personality and speaks to his clients in a very demeaning way. This was very apparent at the meetings. He continued to endorse this by walking out of the court room BEFORE my son was finished. He did not even wait to debrief him, he just walked away with a casual call me if you have any questions. The court situation was emotional enough without adding the non-supportive actions of your lawyer. In conclusion I feel there is NO VALUE of skills that Mr. Skinner can offer at any price. I would definitely NOT recommend this lawyer!!!!

He seems to know his stuff, is excellent at following up but his worse attribute is he will bleed you dry of money before the case is over. He will send letters make phone calls and attend court dates but he doesn't seem to do what he needs to to get a quick resolution to your case. Its all about the money and how much he can get from you. My case was a slam dunk since but it seem to drang on for well over a year well the lawyer bills kept coming in.
