Mr. Hunter served us well. His office staff was very professional especially Letitia. She was on top of it all. Her communication skills were right on target. Michael had a concussion after his accident and was hard to talk to at times, but Letitia was able to help him through the process and obtain information from him easily. I came to Mr. Hunter in 2013 for my divorce case. He was very matter-of-fact in what he needed from me and why in order to save time and get to the facts . He is very knowledgable and has so much experience. Since the initial case where I retained him as a lawyer, I have used him several more times over the course of the past 6 years in regards to custody of my daughter and constant issues with my ex. We have been to mediation several different times with several different mediators. Mr. Hunter put forth the effort to help me stand my ground and do what I needed to do legally. He provided legal consultation and has stuck with me over the years. I am very appreciative to Mr. Hunter and his staff for their dedication in helping me navigate the legal system and each obstacle along the way. Mr Burton and all in his firm were super aggressive in obtaining and later defending my child custody case. As a father it proved difficult to convey my concerns to the court on my own and I later new I needed major help. He did what seemed to be impossible and was instrumental in my child's future. He comes off very strong and direct but you will learn that is what you need when you have important matters at hand. He also seemed to know everyone in the court but i guess 30+ years in a small town has that affect. Lastly his staff was second to none. They kept me in the loop with every detail and date while I lived 7 hrs away. While i hope not to need there services again glad to know they will be there if we do!

Mr. Hunter will provide you with realistic advice to follow. He will not tell you what you want to hear just to make you happy, he will tell you what needs to happen to make the best of the situation you are dealing with. I do not know of another lawyer with as much experience as he has. His staff is wonderful and work diligently to make the process as seamless as possible.

Mr. Hunter was very quick to jump on my case and help my family. We were in a time of need and he understood the circumstances so he was very helpful and informative. Wonderful! Mr. Hunter was a true blessing for me and my case. The first 15 minutes of talking with him and his lovely paralegal Mrs. Hawkins I knew I was in the right place. They instantly made me feel at home. Me. Hunter provides me with different articles and laws that I could read to better understand what we were up age at. He never made me feel like my questions were silly or irrelevant. Mrs. Hawkins was a life saver! There were many times I would have questions or just a nervous moment that I needed reassurance and she was always there to assure me it was under control. When it came time for court Mr. Hunter was always sure we meet early and he was always able to make me feel confident and at ease about what was going to take place. As I was reading the comments from others I was amazed at how people simply don't understand how the law works. Although my experience with Burton Hunter wasn't always a walk in the park (we didn't always agree on things) he knows the law and usually knows how the other party's lawyer works. Mr Hunter is highly respected by judges. So I figured out really fast that I needed to give him and his staff the things they asked for and be honest about everything and let them do their job. I believe he and his staff are worth every penny. Because in the end Burton Hunter is the best lawyer to represent you in what could be the most important events in your life. If I ever need representation again Burton Hunter will be the first one I call.

Mr Hunter and his staff are awesome! They have always took our calls and always helped us and been very friendly,knowledgeable. They will fight tooth and nail for you. Mr. Hunter was amazing. He made me feel comfortable from the first time I met him. He walked me through every step - explained everything thoroughly and in a way I could understand. I am not sure he actually reads his briefs. Got fooled by the opposing lawyer and argued for another 2 months about dates that had already been changed. He bullies and yells over the phone at his clients ... threatened to quit just before the court appearance. I am contacting another lawyer to sue him.

I tried to hire him over a custody dispute with my ex-wife. His only advise to me was "give her the children." He even refused to take the case. I went to another lawyer and won my children. I heard from one of his clients that he encouraged him to plead guilty to a crime he never committed. I would think carefully before hiring him.

I hired Mr.Hunter and within 2days he was very pushy with what he wanted and not what i wanted. Then he quit and breached lawyer client confidentiality agreements. I am reporting him to the Bar association. No one needs this guy to represent them. He practically handed the case over to my ex in court and now i have no rights at all with my daughter.

This guy wants big money, yet is inefficient, unreliable, inaccurate, disorganized and downright silly. He'll send you an email all about how he likes Irish Road Bowling, and then charge you $20 for it! ABSURD! He's lucky I didn't file a complaint with the WV Bar. I'm still thinking about it. I might.
