Walter Ollen ruined my childrens' lives. 13 years later now, and his work enabled my ex to do whatever she wanted, and now they are gone from my life,I have been excluded from theirs. Walter literally sat next to my ex wife attorney in court. When asked on the stand, pointed questions about childrens' well being he said "I am not an expert in child development...." When I presented evidence of me and my children interacting healthfully, he objected! and told the judge: "Things like this can be staged." In chambers as we attempted an 11th hour mediation, Walter himself, exploded, came unhinged, started yelling at me, as me, my lawyer, my ex and her lawyer, all sat in our chairs shocked at his display. And in my obviously biased opinion, Walter Ollen ruined my life. I was saddled with the bill to pay him, which was $5000 , and I refused. I believe the devil sits on both his shoulders, and the courts should have banned this man from this line of work. It ruins entire lives.

They took down my previous post. Record and Video tape Walter Ollen, GAL. It's your right and you don't have to tell him you are recording him. Maine is a 1 party consent state and you can that one party. My DV Ex admitted to Walter Ollen he put in an xrated p*rn tape in for the children to watch. Then Walter Ollen, GAL told me that he would take care of it and when I complained he threatened me I could loose my children. He didn't report it to CPS or nothing. He covered it up. Did you get money for that? It was years ago, but the horrors still scare us today. My children were dropped off other times with injures and my ex dropped my son off at school with burn marks all over his body and one time dropped my daughter off with a broken arm. RECORD HIM! Don't be alone with him. I also reported this to Legislation a couple years ago. Don't take the post down. YOU OWN IT WALTER OLLEN, GAL!

This GAL walked into a secret closed door court with hand written notes. Lied to the judge that I agreed with the visitation schedule he set forth, when I did not nor ever saw it prior to court. He is creepy, has poor judgement, and said terrible disturbing things to me. He did not protect my children, he did not work in their best interest. He made a mess of the case intentionally to drive billing hours. He told me in order for him to protect children the child would have to be severely beaten that it caused a hospital admission and even then he couldn't do anything unless it was proven intentional. I guess broken bones and burn marks at a convicted domestic abuser house doesn't count. I pity families with this GAL assigned by a court!!! That's the only work he can get!!

As my Guardian Ad Litem, he was a nightmare. Argumentative, dishonest and totally unorganized. It took him nine months to send me a bill and it was handwritten and could not be justified. Did not look out for the best interests of my child. Promised alot, delivered ZERO. Constant excuses for why he could not deliver, however try to get rid of a Guardian Ad Litem in Maine after they have been appointed by a Judge. Very difficult. Research before hiring any Guardian Ad Litem in Maine, this is not the one. He has absolutely no judicial temperment and he is a GAL for a reason.
