Was recommended by a friend to this place. spent a fair bit of money and I did most of the work and represented myself. All they want to do is bill you for every word and email and phone call. Even a friendly conservation with her staff member turns into a billing issue as they dont like to have any conversations over 5 minutes as I was told since they need to be paid for their time! All they want is money. And they make tons of mistakes including emailing me other couples separation agreement not once but 3 times|! and they did not even catch it until I called her and told her that I was sent confidential information about someone elses case. emails were sent to me as well about other peoples invoices and bills that were not my own. I felt so bad for the ppl that they exposed by sending me their personal court order info. really disgrace. I dont recommend them to anyone.

When I contracted with them, I was promised to be assigned a associate who would personally handle my suit and go to bat for me. I wish! On my first few court dates, I was always represented by a different lawyer who I did not recognize and they have barely knew my case.

The final bill was 3 times the estimate. She did not want to stick to her initial amount. I feel that the fees was too high for what I got. Greedy.

Wow - where to begin....Simply put, stay away from this lawyer and this firm. Every bad lawyer joke ever told is likely about Anita. Unprofessional, unprepared, errors in documentation that never get corrected, terrible advice on how to present and argue your case - With Anita, it's just all about billing, billing, billing and more billing. A HUGE waste of time and a terrible, pointless, disappointing waste of your money. You get nothing for your investment of time and dollars. Unless you like to throw your money into the wind, find another lawyer and firm.

Truly a complete anutter disappointment. Unprepared for meetings, draws out the process so she can bill, errors in her documentary - you do all the work and she charges you for your time. Leads you to believe that she knows the law and presidents and gives you false hopes just so that she can bill. Zero ratings are what she deserves. Stay away and run for the hills

Going through a divorce is tough but I am glad I had Ms. Anita Kain and her team to handle the legal aspect with attention to detail, sensitivity, and in an ethical manner. Ms. Kain has a vast experience in Family Law, combined with confidence and amazing communicating skills to do the job right. She defended my interests, provided me with legal advice, and kept me away from avoidable fights.
Ms. Kain and everyone at Kain & Ball are experienced, professional, and well organized. All of my questions and emails were answered in a timely manner. The time that they dedicated to listening to me made me feel right at home.

Anita made my ex come begging for forgiveness. She will channel your anger at your ex, as if it was her own, and will not relent. She is the opposite of the collobaratve law things. If your looking for a no holds barred assault then she is the one.

Not sure what these other reviews are talking about but my experiences with Anita and her team were great from beginning to end. They exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond what I had asked for. I would definitely use them again.

My experience with Kain & Ball was beyond painfull. They were paid in advance ($2000) per signed contract. Lawyer quit her job the very next week after collecting the money----without a word!!! STAY AWAY

Oh gawd, I have to agree with most of the comments. There are 2 types of lawyers, those who are genuine and those who are greedy. She is the latter. Her ridiculous rates are not warranted considering the juniors (including her daughter Lauren Kain as pointed out below) do all the work. I met with Anita on day one and from there never rarely heard from her. She inflamed the case with my ex-husband by writing nasty accusatory letters basically with the theme that all men are dogs. His lawyer was able to use it to his advantage and it cost me. Anyway shop around and make sure to read reviews! Good luck.

I rated Anita high for tenacity....increasing her own bank account! I concur with a previous review that commented that she has juniors...daughter included doing a vast majority of the work! Writing vicious emails and unecessarily dragging out an already arduous process is her specialty! I am not writing this only because I had a poor result... But because I would hope to save another individual from making the same mistake as I did by hiring her!

She dragged the separation for months and months and cost me thousands with no good outcome. Promised a lot, delivered nothing. She and her office crew are only thinking of their own profits. They pray on your weakness of time.

I hired Anita as a second opinion lawyer for my separation. Anita was unprepared for our meetings, misplaced paperwork and did not provide the confidence I was looking for. I spent a fair bit of money and recieved for very little value.

I hired this firm becuase they professed experience with children's lawyer. I feel they di dnot fight for me, they are very expensive, and they did not follow through. They did not fight for me and I spend a lot of fees for very little results.

I hired Anita to represent me and she was very unprofessional, expensive and too busy and came unprepared to the mediation. She did not negotiate very well and delegated most of the work to the junior people but charged me for her rates. I would not recommend her services to anyone unless you have money to waste
