This public defender will do nothing for you. He with holds information concerning your case from you. Won't take your calls. Myself and a few others had to file our own discoveries to even see if there was evidence against us because Hodge will not file one. If you look at the case he was involved in you will find he files your waiver of speedy trial, then will tell you the best you can do is take the states plea offer. More then likely he won't even ask you what happened or listen to your version of the events leading to your charges. And since he is a public defender, the Iowa Supreme Court Attorney disciplinary Board will protect him from any complaints you file against him. You have the right to pick your court appointed attorney. Use it to stay away from Hodge.
