By far the worst lawyer I have ever even heard of, let alone dealt with. All of the comments posted here are true. She can't hear, she can't spell, she can't remember anyone's name, and the entire time I felt like I could've did a better job representing myself. I had what should've been an open and shut case and she lost it. She treats her clients like they are second class, even though there were numerous times were she couldn't even follow the simplest train of thought. It seemed like her mind was very "foggy", and half the time I felt like I was talking to a child when trying to explain something to her. I do not know how she got the one, five star comment. It must've been someone related to her, because anyone that has had her work for them should know better. In my opinion she is unfit to practice law and should have her license revoked. Anyone looking for a lawyer please do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE HER!

Ms. Paty's "bedside" manner was horrible and left me wondering why I chose her to represent me time and time again. She was knowledgeable but she never showed professionalism, mercy or kindness. A word to the wise, think twice before hiring an attorney. Look at how they treat others as this is a huge indicator of how they will treat you.

Like the other client who rated her poorly, I experienced a great deal of unprofessional behavior. Ms. Paty was rude, even crude, extremely hard of hearing, very forgetful, and moody. Mind you, I was her client, and after paying a $5000 retainer and being charged $250 per hour, I would have expected efficiency and professionalism. Her office staff was certainly very good, but at the end of the day, I felt a fool having her represent me. I frequently had to remind her of facts about my case and also to remind her that my case, and long periods of time passed with little or no activity on her part. When I inquired what the status was, she quickly became angry, defensive, even offensive. Save your money and the heartache. Legal battles are difficult enough without having to deal with a prima donna who is supposed to be an advocate for you! She may have been a good attorney in years past, but she no longer has the skills. Choose another.

spoke with Selma Paty and she was very condescending and rude. She had all my information and she obviously didn't read any of it before our phonecon. She didn't have a clue. Not to mention she can't hear and has to read everything which made it very difficult to talk to her because she was always behind in the conversation. Then she wrote me a letter that was filled with grammar mistakes and misspellings. I would not recommend her to anyone and definitely will not give her anymore of my money. What a waste....
