Incompetent, crooked & overpriced. I tried to use him to evict one of my tenants. I found out later his pricing is 3x that of other lawyer's eviction fees. He served the wrong tenant. I paid him his exorbitant fees to have the tenant personally served – instead he taped the notice to the door – the WRONG door. I realized I needed to use a real lawyer to clean up this mess & do it right but Steve refused to give me copies of the paperwork that he supposedly served. After 3 months of asking for copies of the paperwork for a service I paid for, he said he would have an affidavit made up. What?? An affidavit of service is used when the tenant was personally served (and should have been done at the time of service, not 3 mos later) – did he plan to fabricate an affidavit for a personal service that never occurred? All I wanted was a copy of the 3 day & 30 day notice that he claimed to have served upon my tenant. Still haven't received anything...
