We were referred to him from another bankruptcy lawyer who doesn't work with Chapter 13 bankruptcies. I wish I would have shopped around though. Mr. Herrick wouldn't even SPEAK to us until we paid the $1500 up front. Not even a consultation. His office does not seem to have very good communication with their clients. Also, I didn't feel as if he "fought" for our case, he just treated us as a number and didn't really want to see if he could make our plan payments any lower. Also, the day of our 341 meeting, he hardly spoke to us. He was too busy chumming it up with fellow attorneys. Right when the Trustee called our name to appear, I asked Mr. Herrick a question and he rolled his eyes at me and took me out into the hallway. If he would have been attentive BEFORE the meeting began, I could have asked him then. I would not recommend him to anyone who wishes to file bankruptcy.
