Charges a fortune and never is true to his word. Only cares about filling his pockets and settling with other side. Says he will do something and never does. Waste of time and money. Don't go to him unless you want to pay just to settle a large amount. Untrustworthy and undependable.

Mr. Eberlie represented my mother in her divorce. It was a bit complicated and the other side was aggressive and brutal. Mr. Eberle is one of the few lawyers that knows what is right and will stand beside you. He is very courteous and is always looking out for your best interest. His rates are reasonable for the excellent service he provides. He will get the job done with determination and a great work ethic.

1. He improperly withdrew money from his trust account 2.Failed to deposit funds into a trust account 3. He improperly withdrew money from his trust account 4. He failed to serve his client in the following manner: i. He failed to follow his client's instructions. He failed to protect his client's interests; iii. He failed to pursue his client's unjust enrichment claim; iv. He failed to follow his client's instructions on multiple issues AND MULTIPLE ON OCCASIONS 5. He acted without integrity . . . misled Counsel Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee 6. He acted without integrity when he misled his client by telling her he had obtained a Court
He was suspended and ordered to pay costs to the Law Society

Eberlie, has been suspended several times. Our company showed an after tax profit of 100k and ruined it and the family. A 98 day trial, 570 exhibits. He did not registered a child support order.Fifteen {15} years later Mr. Eberlie, attempted to secure child support, all laughed. By the Third {3rd} year it was still going.Judges best quote: “do you expect me to believe that Mr. Eberlie. He had about Eight {8} Bankers Boxes full of files, requested an adjournment as he never had a file,judge suggested for Mr Eberlie,look over lunch and continue on questions. “Mr Eberlie, you have enough boxes to sink a ship surely your file must be in One {1} box." We tried to settle several times,he just kept on going. The kids were even stripped of land and buildings that was to be in trust for them, each were rented and generating enough income to pay for themselves. The other side paid for the complete trial, over Five Hundred Thousand in total {500,000.00} in total.
He wants all your nickelS.

I totally appreciated and valued Peter’s guidance, both legal and moral. Peter was a knowledgeable influence on my decisions about how I wanted to proceed. It was always my choice and he encouraged me to be true to myself. I am completely satisfied with Peter’s representation and council. I think, as unfortunate participants in a family dispute, we should be as informed as we can. It is up to us to understand the system. It does not care about personal issues, only provable facts!

This is a true and honest opinion of Peter Eberlie. Mr. Eberlie, is the most one sided professional I have ever met. He was interested in one thing money. To me it appeared the customer was the enemy, and I was his enemy. The only correspondence I received from him was involving money, he had several cleaver ideas that his vast wealth of experience has taught him. However,his cleaver ideas cost me a tremendous amount of time and money.The divorce process, is hard enough on a person than when one adds the games of Mr. Eberlie, who is to be on your side is even worse. His comment let; “your lawyer handle it” still rings in my ears…. My ex wife’s lawyer found me another lawyer within Three (3) months compared to the Two (2) years Mr. Eberlie had with the file. I found out from my lawyer that Mr. Eberlie was in essence kicked out of Windsor, as no one would take his files. Furthermore, he has been suspended via the Law Society on occasion. Don't allow your hard earned money got to him.

I try not to speak badly of anyone, but I wish that I'd have seen this website before hiring Mr. Eberile. Most every one of the negative comments posted, are what I experienced with Mr. Eberlie. Didn't return phone calls, did Absolutly nothing to resolve my case. Kept calling and never got calls returned, just didn't understand, prior to reading this website. Finally contacted the Law Society to report this unbelievably poor service he was giving. Can't believe anyone would hire him, especially if they have seen this website! He may want to consider a different line of work if he that burnt out.

I retained him once.,took him to the law society,shortly thereafter he left his firm or was asked to leave,then left Windsor completely,specifics would make you sick.find a good family law attorney

My case has been going on for years with Peter Eberlie with nothing been accomplished at all. I have spent piles and piles of money and nothing! He ignores every call, every email, does not send me important documents. It's been a complete nightmare! NEVER use this lawyer! He is only in it for one thing and one thing only HIMSELF! Be aware that unless he knows you have piles of cash! Drags it out and out until you just give up. I have had to retain a new lawyer now just to get this done, more money just to get a final divorce... forget about getting anything settled. Do yourself a big favor and look past his add in the paper that states the biggest lie 24 hour return calls guaranteed! What a joke, try 2-3 weeks if lucky.

Meny years ago my daughter needed a lawyer. We made the mistake of choosing this lawyer, he seemed to be only interested in one thing as far as I was concerned and that of course was money. My daughter went through a very distressing time and he showed no compassion what so ever. Charged her for every phone call however short it was his communication either way was useless. We were not sure he was doing things right for my daughter so we requested a review of the case from another lawyer who I must admitt told us things were going as per the norm. This other lawyer also wrote a letter to this Eberlie telling of our action (of which he also assured my daughter that this was the correct thing to do) Eberlie was very rude when he found our. Personally I would not advise using this guy but then again if you can avoid it try not use the court system because you will say goodby to all your money for in the end nothing. Ever the judges are about as useless as you know what.

Was very good at setting up a conference call, to review my situation. Arranged a meeting on my request & reviewed my case in more detail, offerring several suggestions & recommendations to save the family money. Still providing legal advice as required, but so far so good based on our short relationship. Staff was very detailed & efficient.

Mr.Eberlie is a the only Lawyer I have ever encountered that has a conscience.He truly believes in right and wrong and can quickly and clearly see through the games played by the opposition!!He is direct and knowledgeable with a "No holds barred" approach who will not waste your time or your money!and who will deliver the best of what he's got for your case!! Peter will take every penny you have and deliver absolutely nothing in return to advance your case. His only concern is getting as much money from you for a long as he can.Instead of trying to reach a settlement he will work to drag things out and bring your case to court where the money really starts going quickly. Walk out of court and still nothing is settled except for another court date and more $$$$$ from your pocket. Each time you go in to see him doesn't remember anything from your case and need to start at square one each time. His staff will make clerical mistakes on legal documents and then he will charge you again to fix the mistakes they made when you point them out. So you end up paying twice or three times for the same document. Our case is simple seperation,no kids involved and is now going into it's third year with no end in sight and almost $75,000 in legal fees gone. Tweny years or working going dowen the drain to this guy. Avoid him at all costs & save your sanity.

Peter handled my child support for me. When my daughter turned 18, my ex stopped making payments, and Peter got me a settlement to help cover the cost for her undergrad studies. We are now celebrating my daughter’s graduation - she is graduating with the highest average marks from her program at University. Because of the settlement Peter got for us, my daughter can graduate debt-free and we see a bright future ahead. Peter and his staff treated me with kindness and respect and I will always be thankful for his help!

Was not surprised to see the poor ratings for this guy. He also has a discipline history with the Law Society of Upper Canada. Check out their website...http://www1.lsuc.on.ca/LawyerParalega.... It states...."Peter Dymoke Eberlie was found to have engaged in professional misconduct for: improperly withdrawing $4,875 which he held on behalf of his client, SP, from his trust account; receiving $11,050 in trust for his client, SP, and failed to deposit those funds into a trust account; improperly withdrawing $8,025 which he held on behalf of his client, SP, from his trust account; failing to serve his client, SP; acting without integrity when he misled Counsel from the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee; and acting without integrity when he misled his client, SP. By Decision and Order dated Nov 13, 2009 the Hearing Panel ordered that: (1) It is ordered that the Lawyer be suspended for 1 month, to commence on Dec 18, 2009 and to conclude on Jan 17, 2010, etc.etc.

Beware of this guy. He came to me the night before trial at 12 midnight and demanded $20,000 more money if he was to represent me in court the next day or he would go home. A terrible lawyer!

It was evident that Peter has many years experience in family law. Peter's main interest was the welfare of my children. He was honest and forthright in the information he gave me. And based on the results of my situation Peter's advice was always correct. He was professional and well spoken in court. I was always prepped sufficiently for court which eased the stress of the experience. His staff his knowledgeably, professional, and always friendly. But mostly, my main concern was my children and Peter made that the priority as well. I would absolutely recommend Peter to anyone.

You may as well just take all the money you have and give it to him for nothing. You will actually be ahead. He will work until your broke and bankrupt, then you'll never hear from him again. He cares more about his fee being paid then you his client. He will promise he'll get money from your ex husband and he is right but the money will end up in his pocket. Try and get support from a bankrupt husband also!!! Our family net worth $500,000.00 is now his and the kids and me got nothing. To think my ex and me worked 13 years to hand it all over to a scumb bag like him is dispicable, almost as dispicable as he is. LAWYERS have the whole legal system set up to increase there profits and sqeeze every cent out of a client. Theft the legal way!!!

I was extremely disappointed with Mr. Eberlie's service. Lots of promises. Communications was non-existant. I would never recommend his service to anyone.

Well, if you want to be ignored (except when he wants money) then he is your guy. He's old school and doesn't appear to focus too much on resolution.
