RUDE! CONDESCENDING! ARROGANT! Roared her point of view rather than explaining things properly. Communication was very difficult. Had a horrible experience.

Overall, quality started out ok. However her demeaner and ability to communicate what is required from each person is very poor. Her ability to deliver quality work is poor.

Ms Guarasci. $900 for 1 meeting and couple texts before we parted ways. Payed for her to tell me what a great mother she was. Roared and bellowed when I tried to state my case. Said my wife had manipulated the kids and they wouldn’t see me. She replied “Get me your financials” I asked her if there was anything we could do to open communication with my children. She replied “Get me your financials” Had to ask her if she was actually on my side. She replied “I’m on the children’s site”. I told her that was very noble but for $450/hr she better be on my side. That was the end of our relationship. My next lawyer said the most important thing is to start some reconciliation therapy with my boys because it would take a long time, which it has but atleast we started. Guess what? The new lawyer got my financials too.Was warned about Ms Gaurasci by a a well respected lawyer who was too busy to take my case but I didn’t listen. Talked to that same lawyer later and she told me “warned you”

Very dated knowledge of the law. She has been practicing for a long time. I have heard, that it is better to get a young lawyer to deal with family law knowledge as the law has changed significantly since the Family Law review in 2008. Joanne confirmed this. She stated at least five points that were outdated when discussing my case. They were blatantly incorrect points as conflicting information was very clearly typed on the attorney general's website. I decided to go with a different, very young, inexperienced lawyer at half the cost. He was able to successfully argue my case. Everything Joanne told me would/wouldn't happen, he made not happen/happen. I think she needs to go back to school.

Joanne seems very gung-ho about my case as long as I had the funds to pay her. However, when I ran out of money she stopped her "scorched earth" assault against my ex-wife and left me high and dry. Her assistant Annette is absolutely horrible. Condescending, demeaning and aloof. Even when Joanne and I were working well together, Annette was horrible to work with and decidedly unhelpful.

I expect that reviews by people on this site are based more on the results of their case or individual situations then the quality of legal representation they received. Lawyers can only work with a client that is cooperative and listens to the advice they pay their lawyer for. My experience is Joanne was tough, to the point but extremely understanding, she set reasonable expectations and delivered results. Joanne worked with opposing counsel to ensure my interests were represented and met some pretty tight deadlines. While I found Joanne a little bit intimidating at first I was thoroughly pleased with how she represented me on the matter she was hired for over a period of several months.

This woman is rude, arrogant, cant remember the details of your case and charges you more each time she re writes the aggreement due to HER mistakes. Takes months to return a call or letter

extremely rude, condescending and a whiner. She prefers males and has nothing good to say or do for women or children despite stating she is an advocate for women/children. No class whatsoever
