A mistake to hire her. She really isn't interested in the work as much as getting paid. Is difficult to communicate with. Effort? If the other attorney will do it, the other attorne does it. It completly goes against the tenets of aggressive advocacy when your attorney seems to be more bothered by you and your concerns than he is in taking care of you. And there isn't an area of law more intimate, more important, and more heartbreaking than family law, where the family unit disintegrates and what is left in its wake: children, property, personalty, is pretty much the only things that count. This is not the lawyer to entrust with such important things. She just doesn't seem to care. And if she lets something important slide she doesn't try to repair the damage or even apologize. She goes on the attack. Its a wrenching experience trying to communicate with her, and there are few areas of the law where communication, strong advocacy, and the feeling your counsel is on your side.
