Horrible, horrible people. Covetous, greedy and incredibly manipulative. She charges 5.6% on Mastercard payments instead of the normal 2.6% charge on interact transactions. They treat you all nice at first, but once the money is paid, you have to wait months before you hear from them. What a waste of money going to her. Please, use someone else. And don't pick a mall lawyer.

I would like to thank JHA for their expertise. I've been doing business with them for many years. I would highly recommend them, because they are upfront about their legal fees. JHA settled my divorce without going to court which saved me a lot of money and stress.

I sold my house and purchased a new one so I needed a lawyer, I work in downtown Bay and Bloor so I came across Jane and Harvery office in Downtown the prices that were listed was really cheap so I went inside and spoke with reception she said no worries we will take care of both selling and purchasing just gave us the dates. So I provided all the documents and information and I never heard from them. I had to keep on calling to get an update even just a day before my closing, I had to chase them and remind them. You will not get to speak with the lawyer till your actual closing date and the closing date was a nightmare they did not care about anything and the laywer’s are not knowledgeable. When you go to their office and explain an issue they try to pass it to each other and not care at all. I found they are full of lies and while waiting in the office I was with ness of other clients that were frustrated them as well but it was too late for me to change my laywer.

Jane Harvey and her associates were extremely helpful and patient. They carefully explained my very complicated and important legal case which put me at ease. I found them professional, diligent and far far less expensive then any downtown lawyers.

Horrible experience with this law office. Jane Harvey and Tam Nyguen destroyed my mother's will and powers of attorney for care and finances. Jane Harvey stated to me "Your mother was never in my office". Jane Harvey is dishonest and had my late mother's legal documents destroyed to cause conflict in the courts. My mother paid Tam Nyguen almost $400.00 for legal documents and the lawyers destroyed my mother's documents causing conflict in my mother's care and 2 months later my mother died because of this. The estate was illegally seized by the probate court robbing my dead mother and the beneficiaries so the lawyers could live off the estate to sustain their practice and rob the family.

Jane Harvey lawyers were recommended to me by a friend. The prices are low but my 6 month case took a year and seven months to complete. You really have to hound them to keep your case moving, I dont know if they are overloaded or if they just dont care. The low points were poor communication and not taking initiative, everything else was acceptable from my experience

Very competitive pricing. They do the job, but it takes forever to finish the job. Very bad communication as you will have to keep chasing them for updates on your case. All in all, for the price, I can recommend them but it is a headache dealing with them.

I have retained Ms. Harvey with respect to many legal matters. I found she and her associates were always extremely sympathetic and cooperative with regards to my issues. They knew the law and provided sound, effective advice that led to a substantial settlement in my favour. I recommend the firm without hesitation for anyone in a legal bind, especially if it involves family law litigation. The best bang for your buck in Toronto.

I would never use this law firm again and I am sorry I recommended them. My real-estate transaction is not completed and I have no paperwork and no reply from Jane Harvey herself. They held money, overcharged and did not specify why. I have yet to receive a complete accounting for services done.

They've lost my survivorship file and every time I phone to ask them the status, they don't know. They gave me the number to phone the real estate clerk, and when I phoned her, she told me she never got the file from Jane Harvey. Its ridiculous. I keep going around in circles. I'm asking for my money back and my documents. Totally unprofessional and incompetent. Go use a REAL lawyer

Unprofessional and frustrating experience. Receptionist is not informed on company policy as we were told there was a lawyer who dealt with commercial leases. The Lawyer was late by 40 mins because of traffic??!! We also got stuck in traffic but gave ourselves enough time to be on time! We were then told she doesn't review commercial leases. Only Jane Harvey can review leases! Well Jane Harvey was at a much further location and too busy. Receptionist wasted our time and gas and the lawyers time and gas. We were told someone would call us the next day and thankfully we found someone else because that call never came.Very immature, uninformed and unprofessional group of people.

Horrible experience with this lawyer. Went in for a basic will update and was given 20 minutes and was overcharged as we were told we needed a complete will overhaul. She had very little interpersonal skill and hours were not as posted. I will never go back to this firm again. I needed to make three trips to the office to complete this.

I would never use Jane Harvey for real estate transaction again. They allowed 14,000 dollars in back taxes to remain on the property. They also never performed a file search and allowed the deal to close even though a final electrical safety test was not done. They should not be allowed to continue practicing.

I went to the Scarborough Town location and you have to chase the lawyer down and hound them to get them to work on your case and their billing is questionable. Overall below average quality and below average service.

If you're completing a real estate transaction, stay away. Pay the extra money for a good lawyer. They get you with initial low costs and then add 'extras' without notification or direction from you, their client. If you like no communication thru the entire process, getting info on day of close and needing to make an uninformed decision and being treated as an assembly line law firm, then JH is for you. Get you in quick, process and get you out. NEXT! I will never use this company again. Processes are lacking which cost you more money in the end. In our specific case, JH complied with our buyers request to remove an item from deed without notification. We were never given choice or gave JH authority to comply with request. It cost us an extra $250.00. Stay far away!!!!

Terrible legal advice!
I went to the Scarborough Town Centre location and met with the lawyer to incorporate a business. I had asked if there was any benefit in creating a second type of shares. I was told there was no benefit or need. After incorporating, my accountant had advised me other wise. Apparently nothing could be done to remedy this without a fee and timely process. Thank you for the terrible legal advice.

Similar to others with poor reviews of this firm, I experienced errors from the clerks, being treated like trash by reception. I felt ripped off and if I could do my own paper work and sign it I would instead of using this amateur show. -----AVOID THIS FIRM.

I was going through a very messy divorce and custody battle. I paid my fist lawyer a lot for very little in return, and my case was at a stand still. At this point in my life I was feeling very low. With fantastic advice from a friend, I retained Jane Harvey and finally things are moving again and going my way. Retaining Jane Harvey was one of my best choices in life. She explained things to me and made me feel better about myself and my world. I would definately recommend Jane Harvey to friends and family and anyone else I care about.

Very very unprofessional service. Used this firm to probate a will and they sent the wrong form to the court. Two months later the court returned the form and we had to start the procedure all over again and wait for another three months. Everything they did for use ended up with errors. Do not recommend this firm for any business.

My husband and I have dealt with the Bay office in a real estate transaction. The lawyer along with the real estate clerk were knowledgeable and fantastic to deal with. We will use them again and do recommend them.

I used them for 2 real estate transactions. The admin staff made several costly mistakes. Even the lawyer had my husband take time off work to go to her office to sign a document only to tell him when when arrived that he could not sign it. I will never use their services again.

We used the branch in Scarborough to do our will and power of attorney. The receptionist Emma was terribly rude to us because we complained that they forgot some of the requirements that we request. We tried to tell the lawyer and he didn’t even let us talk to him because we already paid in full. I would not recommend service to anyone; they just left me us extremely upset. I’m going to write them a letter telling them that I will rate them on the internet to let people know about their very poor service.

DO NOT USE! Real estate is not their forte. They completely screwed up and took no accountability. They do not read clauses in documents....funny, I thought that's what I was paying for. Ended up being shortchanged $3k as they couldn't understand the clause that when you port a mortgage, the mortgage co. does NOT charge a penalty. They take no accountability for their work!!!! DO NOT USE!!!

Very slow. Capacity issues, only one lawyer per office and limited admin staff and they can't handle the workload. Cases get bounced around to different offices and require a lot of chasing by the customer to track things down. Would not use them again.

I used her firm for 3 simultaneous real-estate transactions. Something went wrong with each one. The staff have no value for your time. When there was a problem, it was not communicated until I called to ask when it was not done. They asked my husband to go down to sign some papers and when he got there, they advised him against signing. My new real-estate lawyer seems to be much more diligent. although he is a little more expensive.
