Wasted my time and money, and ended up firing him. Did not keep me informed. Did not explain what was going on or options in any detail. On several occasions, met him on the date of a hearing in the court house waiting room, only to have paperwork shoved in my hand and basically told to make a decision prior to going into the court room. Did NOT fight for me.

Mr. Illikainen is a highly competent and skilled attorney. Although my child custody battle took two years to settle, he kept me informed, while being accessible throughout the process. He was a blessing during this period in my life. The amount of money I paid for his services were well worth it! I've had attorneys want to charge me more money just to start my case. He understood the complexities of my situation (deployed service member, with residence in another state, going through a divorce hearing in the state of residence). He always took note of my concerns and addressed them truthfully. He never made promises he could not deliver, and I respect that. In the end, he cared; I didn't get the feeling my case was about money, but about justice. I must admit, his then, office staff had issues with customer service and lacked competence, but his demeanor and professionalism overshadowed their negative qualities.

Mr. Illikainen is an excellent attorney. I would recommend this attorney to everybody i know and i have. He was very educated about my special case and has help me to regain my children from their crazy mother. Mr. Illikainen and his staff kept me informed of everything going on with my case and addressed all my concerns.

Although this office is calm and unseeingly not responsive, Mr. Illikainen's temperament makes it work. He is very well connected and can make things happen behind doors. I hired Mr. Illikainen for a very complex military, criminal, and civil matter. His fees pay for his experience and respect amongst his peers in the county. Expensive but well worth it.

I paid this **** over $7,500 for more than a year and he has accomplished absolutely zero. He stole my money and then before the final court hearing, he said that he wanted to withdrawal as my lawyer. That means that he keeps all my money and negotiated zero. Therefore, he sucks and would never recommend someone to this guy because he believes only in himself, not representing his clients nor winning cases; just taking your money and running whenever he feels he cannot win the case.

Only this guy could screw up a custody agreement that was created for him! Some how the agreement I typed was given to the opposing client with my ability to see my daughter for Christmas taken out of it!!! He wanted to build momentum and play the defensive while nothing happen! His paralegal is horrible and cant manage a simple schedule. FIND ANOTHER LAWYER

I retained this lawyer for a family law case and in 3 months time my retainer was gone. This would have been fine but nothing had been done on my case except play the defensive. Not one single motion had been filed on my behalf. This lawyer is knowledgeable but just doesn't care. He will work as long as he doesn't really have to do anything.

If you have plenty of money to waste, this is the lawyer for you; but, don't expect anything to show for it. The only thing that this firm does in a timely manner is send the bill.
