I went with Bonwyn when I was looking for a lawyer to negotiate my separation agreement. I wanted a fair agreement, not a selfish one, so I picked an all-female practice (I am male) and I was put on to her. That was 11 years ago. The separation agreement worked fantastically well, and got my ex and I a smooth divorce. I have since used her in a real estate transaction (zero issues there) and to draft my will. I find her to be thorough, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. She is also very friendly and accommodating.

My mom went with this lawyer for a divorce settlement. She can't even explain why and provide hard numbers on differences in the divorce amounts. She said she will not agree to a settlement even though my mom has had enough and thinks the amounts are fair. So months of working with her, and paying tens of thousands and she won't agree even though the client wants to!!! AVOID THIS LAWYER AT ALL COSTS SHE IS SUCH A RIP OFF!!!

Bonnie helped me with my separation. I was not contesting anything because I believe is peaceful divorce. I chose to not fight and just let my ex- have what he wanted on paper. She got me to sign a paper that I went against her advice. As long as you know what you want in your heart, nobody can manipulate or boss you around. Overall, she is knowledgable and respectful.

Our experience mirrored that of the lady who wrote review number two. We told her from the beginning that everything was agreed upon at 50% each,There was a wash of an rrsp versus a car and instead of the schedule A being zero she made out the documents showning that my wife owed me $7900. When this was brought to her attention she was obtuse. We told her that we were very unhappy about her charging fees for consults etc that would not have been necessary had she represented our interests instead of her own. We are highly dissatisfied with her competance and her fees.

It was bizarre reading such a nasty review of such a wonderful and kindhearted lawyer. Many years ago, Ms. Patterson helped my children and I negotiate through a complicated and treacherous post divorce situation involving the Childrens Lawyers Office.. She was responsible and kind despite many roadblocks and difficulties. She even had a chat with my children at the end of it all and was very sweet with them. A human being amongst many vultures in the profession!

This woman does not listen to her clients wants and needs. She is very bossy and persistent that you must do this and that and does tons of extra unnecessary paperwork at your expense. She makes up ridiculous proposals so that the other party will not sign or that they will have to be redone so you can be charged more money. My ex and I agreed on what we wanted before I ever walked through her door. She completely manipulated me. After her awful proposal attempts my ex and I had his lawyer make one up which since she didn't get paid to make up yet another one, she refused to witness it. She is undoubtedly the worst attorney to ever have.
