I hired Georgia Bonton for my divorce case in NY through my ARAG legal plan. Unfortunately, my experience was highly disappointing. She was consistently unresponsive to calls, texts, and emails. When she did respond, she was often multitasking with personal chores, which was unprofessional.
Despite my case being straightforward—given that I was married for only 6months—she exacerbated my stress by providing poor guidance and unnecessarily pursuing my former spouse's income. Additionally, she conducted a skip trace on my ex-spouse's father, incurring a $1,000 expense. Not only was this irrelevant to my case, but I also never authorized this costly action.
Her handling of my case was confusing and seemed driven more by financial gain . Altho my ARAG plan covered 35 hours of legal service, she failed to utilize this coverage and continued to bill me at her hourly rate of $400.
I strongly advise against using Georgia Bonton given her unprofessionalism and extremely low ethical stand

My experience with MrsBonton was horrible.I hired her on a Friday paid her $650.00 (of the $1,300)retainer fee.I fired her by Tuesday.She doesn’t have an office.The address is a shared office suite.She uses to meet you.We spoke on Friday she said she would consider taking both my cases.she would send the other party in my case a letter stating she was my lawyer She called me Tuesday and informed me that she spoke with the other person in my case(child support)and offered to decrease my child support.I hired her to represent me in an increase in child supportI could not believe what I was hearingShe wasn’t an appeals attorney and could not represent me in that part of my case Why even say Friday that you would consider it.I stated that I wanted one lawyer to work both of my cases.MrsBonton would not release the files I gave her until I paid the other half of the retainer fee.Plus she added expenses? Expenses for three days?Really?I paid her. It took a week for her to return the files.
