REVIEWED a prenup for my son. Met for 45 minutes, emailed the attorney who created the document a couple of times (did not prepare the prenup)... charged $1900... Beware of the massive difference between his hourly quote and the invoice he prepares as he will massively overcharge you.... hope you don't actually need to keep some money in your pocket if you have to use this guy.

There's obviously a reason for all the negative comments by people and the overall rating on Stephen Morgan. This lawyer is terrible! He "talks the talk" but he definitely can't "walk the walk". I wouldn't trust him to have any real skill to actually go to Court and competently argue a case. He seems to want to take the easier route of trying to get you to lower your expectations and cut a deal, even if it's not to your advantage. His dealings with opposing lawyers is at best questionable, and he doesn't care about what the client is saying or wants - he does his own thing. I found that he doesn't act in your best interest or even come close to getting you good or effective results...while all the time increasing his billings at every opportunity. Beware!

I retained Stephen Morgan and was led to believe he could get the job done from start to finish, including going to Court if necessary (Divorce/Family Law). Turns out he "talks the talk" but can't "walk the walk". He's not aggressively or vigorously advocating your interests and he seems incapable of really dealing with conflict resolution or the tactics of opposing counsel. He's not tenacious or clever or resourceful in Court. Definitely not a good litigator. The case dragged on and on, with his billings mounting, and then, without any end in sight nor having achieved any positive results, he didn't see the case through to any conclusion and I had to go out and get a different lawyer. I found him not to be effective or efficient legal representation, and there was no measure of success or satisfaction. I would not recommend him!

I’m 4 years into a really bad divorce. Steve has been working tirelessly for me. Always exploring ways of keeping the conflict low. He explains and instructs on what is happening and why. Steve will work on strategies to help your case. A caveat: Steve is very reluctant to go to trial. If you know you are headed for trial, pick someone who will go to trial. Keep in mind MOST people don’t end up in trial. Fair pricing. Quite responsive to emails and phone calls (although he does get extremely busy at times and may be hard to reach). If it’s critical he will respond quickly. He isn’t overly aggressive in court, which is sometimes frustrating, but prudent too. Angering a judge doesn’t bode well for you. He’s cautious, but effective. If you find he is being soft in front of a judge ask him why, he will explain, there is always a good, logical reason; tact, tactics & strategies.

Worked very hard on my case. Continues to follow up with me. Works not only for you but with you. Helps you understand the processes and what is happening with your case. Priced well and very personable. I highly recommend Steven Morgan (Family law case).

My first experiences with Stephen were professional and he said all the right things. In short I felt I could trust him going forward. I gave him what was for the job more than enough retainer and left him to it. My case was fairly simple and only required the filling out of simple paperwork so I could go to court myself with said paperwork. In short he washed his hands of the case and gave it to two of his underlings to complete. This resulted in it being dragged out over a number of months even though it was time sensitive. It also significantly increased the cost to the point of me getting an e-mail saying not only was my retainer exhausted, they wanted a new retainer for more money to cover off the work that should have been covered by the first retainer! He would only communicate sporadically and it was usually to ask for more money! The end of my time with Mr.Morgan was him washing his hands of me and telling me he was no longer talking with me and would not complete thejo

I also had a very unfortunate experience with Mr. Morgan, same as the first reviewer... I find it shocking that two reviewers would describe Mr. Morgan as tenacious....maybe they are his friends but he is as tenacious as a baby kitten.... I would use the words uncaring, deceptive and inept instead....PLUS it was embarrassing how BAD he was in front of the judge...not sure if it's because he was scared of the judge or because he really didn't understand what he was saying... but he lost pretty much everything I asked him to argue and tried to act as if he won everything...when I finally got rid of him after he failed to deliever something I asked for ..again... (best day of my life) he stuck me with a massive bill where he exaggerated every item on the list. Dealing with Mr. Morgan was way worse than even dealing with my ex. beware.

Excellent lawyer. I trust him implicitly. Here's not only tenacious but clever and resourceful in his court room demeanor. Actually, I feel very fortunate to know him and to count myself as one of his Very pleased clients. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone and particularly to those people who are my friends and family should they ever require effective and efficient legal representation.

We refer clients to many lawyers. We continue to work with and refer clients to Stephen Morgan because the clients trust him and thank us for referring them. One of the reasons that clients thank us is that they feel some measure of success and satisfaction. They feel well represented. Stephen is calm,caring,knowledgable and tenacious.

I was unfortunate to have experience dealing with Mr. Stephen Morgan from Morgan Anderson Phillips LLP. It was the worst customer, client and personal experience of my life. Mr. Morgan did not reply for weeks, conducted actions without client's (my) consent. Agreed to release sensitive and private information to other (responding)party, in respect of his own client!!! I was not informed about this action of Mr. Morgan conducted on my behalf, till the moment I have received the affidavit from the other party served on me. His amendments to the case resulted in total damage of the case. Not to mention, skyrocket billing practices for the services that not even performed. My first lawyer charged me 1/3 of the amount Mr. Morgan charged for preparing same documents; although, my first lawyer rate was higher since he was much more experienced and known for the success in winning family cases. Overall, terrible experience! I would not advise anyone even consider this lawyer!
