Mrs. Vanderbeck is a very nice woman. She is also very timely with her work. However, her knowledge and efforts are severly lacking. When my husband and I went into her office, she didn't review the paperwork ahead of time, she made changes to documents while going over them with us. This leaves room for obvious error. Second, she is a very honest lawyer. Honest to a fault. As a matter of fact, she advised my husband and I that we couldn't do things that we actually could and had the right to do because she felt it was wrong. Also, 75% of the items she advised us on were incorrect. We now have to hire another lawyer to get the job done properly and to ensure we are protected. Most of her work is with the local governments, and I feel this is where this lawyer belongs, not in private practice. Also, charges above reasonable and customary. Her fee was $750 for us, the normal fee for this service we found from quotes of other lawyers was $500.00. Be fore-warned!!!!
