Milissa Barrick is a fantastic attorney. She knows her stuff. I really don't understand why these other people slammed her. Perhaps, they didn't give her all the facts. I for one know that you never lie to your attorney. She went out of her way to lighten my stress load. I always knew I was in good hands.

she was really tough and good!! Her years of experienced Showed in that she knew the law regarding family law. She is WORTH her weight in Gold!!!

Did not mind paying the money for the case. Felt like just another pay check. You would think that after the case was done get a final bill ok I understand. Then to notify them the paper work that was sent was never recieved by the other parties after already paying for it one time expect you to pay for it again. NO GOOD.

As to knowledge, she does not keep up with areas of law that affect families, yet insists on keeping her outrageous retainer even if she admits to not knowing something important. On communication, does not return phone calls. The only tenacity she has shown is in blaming her clients for her ineptitude and grasping for more money to correct her staff's errors such as misspelling people's names or sending papers to the wrong address. If you like do-nothing representation, this is the slacker attorney for you. Her representation is not only a poor value, you may find yourself out a lot of money and in a worse legal position than when you started. When you do find an attorney who will represent you well, he will have to work a long time to fix what he can. I wonder which of her cronies wrote the one favorable review.

TERRIBLE. My divorce and custody case should have been the easiest case Ms Barrick had ever done. After paying her almost $7,000 my I asked for a list of stipulations regarding my child's custody. My ex did not show up to any of the court hearings (which Milissa rescheduled 3 times making the case drag out over a year) and verbally agreed to everything I asked for. Her staff couldnt get him served and I had to do it myself and get him to waiver his rights! Once the final hearing was held and my ex did not show up again, I was shocked when I learned I had only received a standard custody order without the specifications my ex and I agreed to including our child support agreement which included our arrangements for her insurance and tuition. When I told Milissa this was not what I asked for or wanted, she said it would be an additional $3,000 to reopen my case and make modificatons, and that was just the starting cost. I could've done a basic divorce by myself and saved all the money...

i cannot believe i was recommend to this lady. terrible communication. still do not no anything about my case. nobody there is working. she will not return phone calls.

this attorney charges unreasonable fees and she is not experienced. my husband hired a woman attorney in town and she could run circles around my attorney. i was so disappointed. lawyers should return phone calls and not overcharge. you should get what you pay for, but not in her case.

I agree with all the rest Terrible communication, and charged way too much, for absolutely nothing. I've spent 2 years trying to get divorced with her. I had to fire her just to see what was going on. And if you are Military, Please stay clear.

Will not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner. Charges for phone calls and emails concerning errors they made or each and every time one tries to contact them when they do not return calls. Would not submit or file motions even after being told to do so. Has no concern for client other than what can be billed. Through non action or inept, has created more problems for me than before she was hired. Do not recommend.

Avoid her like a snake. Does not do anything paid to do. Takes all your money ($5000+) and then tries to tell you she needs several thousands more to continue. Fired her and she will not return any money or files or financial accounting. Will not ret phone calls and I had to do all the calling to get info and was Charged for it.

I absolutely think this lawyer is wonderful. She shows great skills in the courtroom. She has put another female attorney to shame everytime we went to court. I have all confidence in this woman. I have nothing bad to report. I have paid well over $10,000, but she is worth every penny. I can't believe the other comments because I haven't had any of those experiences with her. I have developed a friendship with her staff, because we do speak so often.
