We filed for term. of rights and lost. Mrs. Thomas had done no further investigation than what we initially told her, came to the court room with many other papers for other cases in her hands, did not even brief us of our case prior to the trial starting. We wouldn't hear from her office for several months, even in between copies of court documents being sent to our home, and so we called her in order to stay updated on our case. I am sure she would be great for the money in a non-contested issue, but she was greatly outclassed by the defendant's lawyer. In court it seemed as if she had given our case no more thought than the initial interviews she had with us over a year ago. Her final argument seemed off the top of her head and lacked any kind of passion that my wife and I had for the case. I will not use her again and am actively seeking another lawyer for the upcoming custody case.
