Avoid this firm at all cost. Edith is basically retired, and her partners are pathetic and despicable. This whole process is a truly a baseless money grab. You need to protect yourself from your own attorneys as much as from your ex's attorneys, ESPECIALLY if your attorneys are with Morris, Bayle & Satan. They will talk down to you, pass you off to 3rd party outside attorneys and CPAs, and bill you like there's no tomorrow, all the while bringing Edith in to give her "sweet soft talking" assurances and having lunches with your opposing attorneys to best devise how to extract most of your and your ex's money. Suzanne Bayle is by far the worst. To watch her in action is a testament to the evil capacities of the human mind. Her lofty air of superiority caps it off, for she truly believes she's fooling everyone in the room, and if she's confronted, watch out! I will NEVER forget these demons and pray they get their due. There is certainly a very special place in hell for these scoundrels.

Edith Morris is evil. She makes a deal with the other side's lawyer and pays them to work against you. She doesn't care of a child has been molested, she will give you bad advice and put your child in harm's way. If you care about your family, DO NOT HIRE HER. If your ex has hired her, do everything you can to prevent her from destroying your life. She has no morals or ethics.

I used this lawyer for an uncontested divorce, my former husband did not even retain a lawyer. She took six months to file the final judgement and neglected to extend responsibility to pay for childrens college...which my ex volunteered at the time. These errors and omissions stand to cost me over 25% of what I am due and trying to enforce collection on. I thought I was paying top dollar for the best...I would not recommend her to anyone.

I agree with the previous comment, I am sure she works in concert with the opposite lawyer either by buying her out or giving in. She lost a case that was a sure shot just to squeeze out money me. She is definitely NOT looking out for her client.

Her contract was written differently than the originally signed agreement. She did not follow through. She deceived the birth mother by telling her the birth mother was on the Louisiana registry. Had the birth mother not found out on her own 14 years later, there is the possibility the adopted child would never have known who she is. Edith Morris lied and her firm lied saying "I cannot talk to the birth mother, because I don't represent her." The LAW says if the birth mother is representing herself, that lawyer is to deal with whomever is representing her. Edith Morris has lied about numerous things. Do NOT choose this person in adoption cases, nor her firm. She said anything to get the baby for her clients, and changed the agreement when the birth mother had just given birth, weakened and unable to have time to check the contract. Edith bought out the birthmother's lawyer!
