I read the reviews below and still proceeded. Bad and expensive mistake. Will use personal past history of domestic violence as hook but is not focused on this at all with clients and will push 50/50 parenting time and decision making regardless of situation. Unprepared for court. Will not look at documentation. Does not have strategy. Will charge you full amount for few hours of "work". Incompetent. Does not really care, better off self representing.

We don’t know where to start, this ‘lawyer’ should be disbarred. She is rather greedy selfish and only concerned about funding her business by funding it with referrals from city of markham. She’s using her contacts and connections from her coworkers etc to gain their trust to solicit and accost the most vulnerable people, sheds false tears about domestic violence and screws them over by taking their money. She messes up their families and takes all their monies and leaves them homeless. She’s a fraud and should be disbarred. She does not know anything about any type of law nor anything about family law. She accosts the vulnerable role and refers them to her family which happens to be ‘lawyers’ I don’t know who they paid to get their fake law degrees.shes a fraud, everyone that works at her firm is a fraud and pretends to know what they are doing. Get your money back,file a complaint against her and the firm asap at the law society. she should be fired from city of markham for fraud.

Unprofessional, unethical individual including everyone at that office. Run!!! This individual, we would not call her a lawyer of anything, should be disbarred and banned from practicing anything in Canada. Her and the team are very incompetent, do your research and look at all her failed attempts at all courthouses. Do not trust this scam artist. The entire office is highly incompetent and lack tact and are very unethical on all matters. Judges despise her presence, none of them are organized and the judges actions and behaviours are warranted. They dislike her and will always rule against her, do not retain her for anything especially your family matter. They all have been reported to the law society. Soo many complaints filed against her and the entire office. She paid people or made people write those positive reviews. If judges despise her presence in the courtroom, you know not to retain any one of them.

Having been impressed by positive reviews highlighting her past role in the Markham City Council, I hired her as my lawyer. However, my experience fell short of expectations. She consistently submitted files last minute, overlooked crucial documents, and lacked politeness. Her pressure tactics and unprofessional behavior, particularly towards me as a paying client, were evident. Despite her theoretical (textbook) knowledge, practical skills, courtroom presence, and document handling appeared deficient. I've since chosen another firm, which has proven to be more efficient. I don't recommend Nirmala and her Associates’ services and advise caution regarding potentially manipulated reviews. Save your money.

Ms. Armstrong is an amazing lawyer, full of compassion and she loves what she is doing. She helped me to get a final order for sole custody and relocation. I strongly recommend her services. It's nice to have a lawyer that is still a human and understand your needs and not just someone who is money hungry.! The most amazing thing about her is when she said to me that "all her clients are important to her. It doesn't matter if you are on legal aid or not".

incompetent!! is an absolute understatement. She should be disbarred from practicing any type of law!. I cannot say she is a lawyer of any type as she failed our family and created a disaster in our family. She does not know how to use evidence or supporting documents to build case. She does not know how to present information before a judge or another lawyer. She's an absolute failure and a fraud. She will take your money and do absolutely nothing on your case. DO NOT even entertain her lies and deceit. Do not waster your time. These are facts....ask other lawyers about her, they too will share the truth!

I had the pleasure of working with Nirmala while going through a separation. I had to go through legal aid and Nirmala provided service that a paid lawyer would provide. She gave it her all. She truly cared about ny case and wanted what was best for me. She would give me her honest advice and it all worked out in my favour. Her knowledge is incredible. I lived quite far from her office and she drove over an hour to come see me. I am so grateful to have add nirmala as my lawyer. She works hard and efficiently to help your case.

The best lawyer! Nirmala is competent and has so much experience! She is extremely accommodating and affordable. She does not take a retainer and goes above and beyond for all her clients. She is also more knowledgeable than most other lawyers out there. She works with students to help them achieve a position in the legal field. She is definitely the best lawyer!

she should be removed from markham city hall for ruining families from her family practice. she knows nothing of the family law, she will take all your money and produce absolutely no results. beware of her manipulative ways, she is deceitful and full of lies, she cant even speak in front of the judge. she and her family are all failures in the courtroom

She tries to mask her identity by using fidferent names. She also goes by nirmala persaud or nirmala persaud armstrong. Don't be fooled by her name changes as there's a reason why she hiding. This was the worse experience ever. She failed to educate and instruct as per the family law. She is not knowledgable in any aspect. She pretends that she knows everything about the law where she knows nothing. Do not retain or continue after meeting her. She will drain your bank account as soon as she learns you have investments, properly and other assets. If you tell her you have nothing, she will say she can't do legal aid even though she promotes it. She gets the vulnerable people in and sucks the life and money out of you. She does not care about your situation and only of her political career. Who knows how she managed to squeeze herself in there. She uses people and will not help you. She will make you live on the streets and will ruin your life. Do not obtain legal or any advise from this
